Chapter 1: Part 3

POV Azeen

 Carmella really outdid herself on the makeup this time, you can’t even notice the bruising, and the medication she gave me has helped stop me from feeling any pain what so ever. I hobble over to the closet so I can grab some comfy clothes, not to comfy as Luca will be with me this morning, and I still want to look decent for him.  If he only knew how I truly felt, how much I loved him, how much I appreciate everything he has done for me over the years.  I grab my clothes out of the closet and make my way over to the bed, I feel as if I’m being watched; I turn my head towards the door and there is Bethany standing there leaning up against the door frame. 

“You know I never asked to be a mother, I also never asked to be a wife, or at least play the role of a wife. You parents paid us a lot of money to care for you and that is the only reason I agreed to this.”

“Pardon me Bethany, what are you talking about?”

“You were thrown on me, I never wanted children and I never wanted to be married, but your parents paid us each enough money to take you that I couldn’t refuse.”

“Bethany you are still drunk, maybe you should go lie down, I think you are confused.”

“No, I’m not confused at all, we were paid by your parents to raise you as our own, then we were paid 10X what your parents gave us by some guy by the name of Alex to torture you the orphan child, he came to us again three nights past and told us we were to kill you and he would pay us another 10 million, I thought for sure this time you were dead. Huh I guess we better try harder.” With that Bethany stumbled out of the door way towards me, I moved out of the way, in disbelief at what I just heard, as I moved Bethany tripped over her own feet and fell face first onto the floor. She didn’t move, I bent down to see if she was still breathing, she definitely was the nasty smell of aged beer and vodka was pushed out with each breath she took. What a drunk, why would my parents purposely leave me with drunks, I would have rather been raised by wolves.

I grab my phone and bag from beside my bed and make my way out the door, the tears just start flowing down. Bethany was just drunk I tell myself; she has no clue what she is talking about. My parents purposely left me with these people, that can’t be right?  There is no way someone was trying to kill me Is there? What is going on?

As I’m about to step outside the house door, I feel the faintest electric shocks, not painful but honestly amazing feeling on my left arm. I turn my head to look and Luca is standing there with his backpack.  I don’t know what it is about this man but dam he sexy, his green eyes are just so captivating, and the way is body is formed, no man could ever compare. My heart was racing so badly, and I was turned on just by his touch, if Luca only new.

“Earth to Azeen, are you okay?” I hear Carmella ask, I look over to her and she has a smile spread across her face, like she knows what I was just thinking and feeling.

“I don’t know, Bethany just said some things to me that have upset me and have made me really question everything.”

“Sweetie, do not listen to those drunks ever okay.”

I nod my head, knowing that she is 100% right, everything that comes out of Bethany and Rogers mouth is always a lie and always something hurtful, but I can’t help feeling that she is telling the truth even if she is a drunk.

“I’m going to walk with you to the park and then head to school; I’ll explain to the teachers that you are sick, so you can make up your tests next week.”

“Thank you Carmella that would help a lot.” I try to force a small smile to give her, I really do appreciate everything both her and Luca do for me. Carmella is my greatest and only friend, I like to think Luca is my friend as well, but I know he cares for me as his sister’s friend, which is really sweet of him. Carmella links her arm into mine and we start walking towards the park. She is chatting away with Luca talking about some of the things going on at the school. I’m trying to follow along but get lost in my own little day dream.

POV of Luca

“Azeen, we are here.” I hear my sister say to Azeen, I look over to Azeen and she is off in her own little world, if it wasn’t for Carmella holding her arm she would have just kept on walking, and most likely been hit by a car or walked into a bush.

“Oh huh? Sorry Carmella, I had this weird little day dream just now, I wasn’t trying to ignore you.”

“What was the day dream about Azeen? ”Asks Carmella

We start heading towards the water fountain as Azeen is explaining the day dream, but it seems more like a premonition than a day dream, but that can’t be right since she has a binding spell on her, could it wear off on its own? I thought to myself.

Luca, are you listening to Azeen? Carmella says over mind link I look up to her and nod.

“And then there was this strange man he said his name was Dec and that he needed my help and I was the only one to help him, but you and Luca told me not trust him, that he was lying and only wanted to kill me for my powers.”

“that is a crazy day dream to have Azeen,  daydreams are suppose to be happy not scaring and overwhelming.” Carmella says as she reaches for Azeen to hug her. “I promise I will be back as soon as I can, and we can talk more and plan your birthday, I have my dad’s credit card and he told me to take you on a shopping spree.”

“I doubt he said a shopping spree.” Azeen giggles

“Well more or less he said shopping spree, plus he knows never to give me access to a credit card unless I am allowed to use as much as I want on it.” Carmella was laughing and Azeen joining in as well.

“Okay enough I need to go before I’m late, I love you girl, see you in a bit.” Carmella grabs and hugs Azeen again and then turns to look at me.

Then over mind link I hear, be gentle when you tell her the truth Luca, she is in a fragile state and with that Carmella is gone.

“That girl can really run fast,” Azeen says Chuckling, “I don’t understand why she never tried out for the track team, she would have easily beat out everyone’s time.”

I start to laugh, if Azeen only knew that Carmella really isn’t that fast compared to those on the track team. 

BANG!!

 POV Azeen

“What was that?” I yell, I quickly turn around checking my surroundings. I’m hit with this overwhelming smell of blood and salt, Luca. He’s not beside me, than I see him he is lying on the ground, blood pouring out of his chest. I collapse beside him, I quickly scan him head to toe, he has been shot but I see that he is still breathing, I put my hand over the hole in his chest to help slow the bleeding, tears start to fall, well more like a waterfall starts pouring out of my eyes. Please Moon Goddess I know I don’t understand why the folk in this town love you so much, but if you are real please save Luca.

I scan to see if there is anyone else here in the park, “No it’s empty” a voice says inside my head. What the hell was that, I think to myself.

“Don’t be frightened my child, my name is Akela and I am your other half, I am your wolf. “

Okay I am completely loosing it, this is the worst time for me to be having a nervous breakdown.

“Breath, you will be fine, I know this is a lot but we do not have time to waste on explanations. Luca is our true fated mate; you know this to be true because of how much you love him. He has been hit with a silver bullet, it is slowly killing him, and you need to save him. I need you to put your hand into his chest and pull out that bullet, NOW!”

I can’t believe I’m losing it in the middle of a crisis, but for some reason I do as the voice instructs me to do and reach my hand into Luca’s chest, I feel around until I feel a small hard oval shaped object and pull it out.

“Good job Azeen, this next part is going to be really hard,  a part of you was put to sleep for a very long time, and only bits of it has been waking up these past few years, well I need you to awaken the rest of you. I need you to put your hands on Luca’s chest to cover the hole, and as you’re doing this lean down and kiss Luca, Kiss him with all your love out in the open, Think of the first time you felt his touch how it made you feel, think about the first time he took care of you, think of the exact moment you loved this man. “

This is crazy I think to myself, But that voice was right about the bullet so maybe she will be right about this.

I place my hands over the hole in Luca’s chest and lean down and kiss him, my life flashing before my eyes, tears start to really fall, then I feel this sharp pain in my chest,

“Don’t release the kiss Azeen, no matter how much it hurts.” I do as Akela says, I keep holding onto this kiss, I keep thinking and seeing every moment of my life with Luca. The first day I saw him, I was 4 years old and he was helping his father Antonio move all their belongings in the house, he looked over and waved, his green eyes oh they were so pretty, I have never seen eyes like that. “Hi my name is Carmella, what’s yours?”   “My name is Azeen; I’m 4, how old are you?”   “AAAAZZZEEEEEEEENNNNN, that is a purity name, I’m 4 to and tats my brother Luca, he is 4 too, we are twins.  Want to be my friend?”   “I don’t know, I don’t have any friends, what if I don’t know how to be one?” “Don’t be silly, its easy, I will help you. We will be Best friends forever!”

 Now I am in front of Roger and Bethany’s house, I see my parents they were holding my hand, Roger and Bethany were standing there in front of us.

My mother and father both pick me up in a bear hug and grasp me in their arms, “My beautiful baby girl, the wonders and magnificent things you will do with your life. You will be the savior needed. You will bear the children as the moon goddess yourself. You are the Great granddaughter of Moon Goddess Selene; she will protect you until she no longer can. You will find your true fated mate; he will be your epic love, your one and only Love. He will protect you and care for you like no other. But there will be challenges you both will face together and alone. Fight for each other and yourself, do not let anyone come between what you really want. For now I have placed a binding spell on you, this puts your powers to sleep. One day a you will have to make the choice to be a human and or to be who you truly are the Ultimate hybrid, Akela your beautiful wolf will always be with you, you will not be able to shift, but she will protect when needed and be your inner voice, when the time is right she will come forward. Do not be scared my little one, your father and I love you so much and well will always be with you, watching you. Grandpa Avery, Grandma Aurora, Uncle Roberts and Aunty Michelle will watch over you from a distance, but they will be here as well. There are certain people on this Earth that want to hurt you and us. King Declan is an evil man, he will do everything to try and bring you to his side, no matter what don’t, if he doesn’t kill you he will taint you, King Alexander and Queen Novah are equally just as evil. The only way to protect you is by giving you to these humans, their very open drinking habit will help ward off your sweet scent from ever being discovered.  I hope you can forgive us my darling one day. I love you my sweet beautiful Azeen.” The vision is fading but Hearing my mother’s voice again lights a fire in me, my entire life, the truth about my life literally just flashed before my eyes and I remember it all, and I have awoke all my powers within.

“Azeen, hey it’s okay you saved me,” I feel hands on my face, and as I pull my lips away from Luca I see his beautiful intoxicating green eyes staring up at me.

Akela purrs on the inside with delight, and I actually agree with her.  “He is one delicious man; I cannot wait to meet Tamaska” Akela

“Akela, settle down” I say inside my head

“It’s okay Azeen you saved me, actually you not just saved me but you healed me as well” Luca sits up, and wraps his arms around me and pulls me onto his lap. His touch is so intoxicating that I am aroused. Luca looks at me and smiles, “you feel that to don’t you?”

I just nod my head as I stare into his eyes.

“About time, this took way to long.” I hear a very husky voice say. I turn my body to face the man, without losing Luca’s embrace “If I had of known this would awake you I would have tried to kill Luca Sooner. You have been a very hard girl to track. But luckily Bella Luna’s Gamma is easily persuaded and not Loyal at all to the Alpha. I have been watching you Azeen for the past 10 years.”

“Who are you?” both Luca and I stand, Luca never moving his hands from around me, but now he has me to his side but also slightly behind him. I can sense that his wolf is getting angry, well at least I think it’s his wolf. I should be more scared, more worried but instead I feel calm, safe and like this is normal.

“Who am I” he point’s at his chest. “Wow I don’t know if I should feel hurt or pleased. Maybe I’m a bit of both.” He takes a step forward “My name is King Declan, but you can call me Dec for short.” He takes a few more steps closer.

“You come any closer and I will kill you Declan, and you know that I can and will.” Luca says, Tamaska was really coming through now.

“Oh Luca settle down boy, I could care less about what you think or say, I am here for Azeen, and I will leave here with her. Did you think for one moment, I didn’t come prepared? Your Gamma not only was not under a spell, I had him drink a special tincture so no witch or fairy could use magic on him but he also recorded your entire conversation this morning in the office, his phone was in the basket and he purposely left it on, and I was part of the entire conversation.  How do you think I knew where to come? Now Luca don’t act so foolish, we both know that you are not. ” 

Hearing Declan talk this way to Luca really bothered me and Akela, she was raging inside me

“What do you want King Declan?” I ask wanting this to all be over

“Such formalities, I told you to call me Dec. I actually need your assistance”

“What makes you think I would help you? You shot Luca!”  Don’t forget he’s ugly on the inside and out, and he really stinks. Akela adds in.

“Well if you don’t then your Adoring Grandparents will be killed, I will go down the list of family members you have left and kill them off, until I get to this beautiful face right over there.” Declan points towards a tree where Carmella is tied and held by Gamma Michael, she’s knocked out. I go to run to her but Luca’s hold is tight. “Azeen if you want to save everyone from very painful deaths, you will do as I ask.”

“Do not listen to him Azeen, you had this premonition before entering the park, do you remember what we said?” Luca asks

“I do Luca, but my family is in danger.”  Remember what your mother said Azeen, Declan does not know that you had visions of your past, He only knows that your true fated mated would awake you.  I don’t think anyone knows all the powers you have. Akela states 

I look at King Declan “Why do you need me? How can I help you?”

“Well now that is a very big question that I would be happy to share with you once you come with me.”

“I will go with you once you tell me what I have asked and only then will I go with you.”

“Azeen No, you can’t do this, You cannot go with him. I know that you have a lot of questions to be answered but going with Declan is the worst mistake you can do.” Luca says

I move my body in front of Luca and turn to face him, I reach my hand to his face and slowly rub his cheek, I look into his eyes and whisper, “I need you to trust me, trust that I know what I am doing. Please.”

Luca just nods his head, knowing that no matter what he says I will do what I think is best. I turn myself back to facing Declan this time with Luca behind me.

“Are you going to answer my question or not Declan, you want me that bad you need to tell me exactly what you need me for.”

“How Stupid do you think I am, Miss Moon Goddess?” Declan now getting angry with each word he says “Do you think I’m playing games, that I won’t kill your family, or friends. You child do not know me at all.  I had Roger and Bethany abusing you for years, believing my name was Alex, what makes you think I don’t have more pull with others in this community. I am after all the man that over through your Grandparents from the thrown, and killed thousands of Fairies, dragons, elves, Pixies and so many more. Those who were not killed had to summit to me to save their worthless lives. King Alexander and Queen Novah believe that they have all this power, that they are the ones ruling all the realms and lands, when in actuality it is I.  I will not hesitate when it comes to killing the ones you love.”

“I’m concerned for Carmella yes, but I have no other family, you killed them all. I only knew an hour ago that I was a hybrid, and that’s because my wolf finally appeared after I kissed Luca. I don’t know how I could ever help you. I don’t even know what Pixies are and I thought dragons were from story books that I use to read as a child, nothing but mythical creatures. But if you want to kill Carmella please do so, because until you tell me what you want from me I will not be going with you, and I will not stop the warriors that are forming outside that gate, or the ones perched in the surrounding trees from killing you. Your men and women other then Gamma Michael have either been killed, being tortured or are currently submitting to…. Hmm what is the name of the leader of werewolves, Im a bit rusty?” I turn my head to Luca and wink.

“That would be an Alpha you are thinking of.” Luca states with a bit of a saucy attitude.

“Why yes Alpha, thank you Luca.” And again I turned my head to face Luca and give him a kiss. “So what will it be King Declan, you tell me what I need to know, or you kill Carmella and any chance at getting out of here alive?”

Declan’s eyes are scanning the entire surroundings, he is sniffing the air, his eyes turn black and in a angry but also a bit scared tone he states “How did they know we were here Michael? Kill Carmella now!!”

I didn’t even blink, I was beside Michael “KILL HER MICHAEL” I hear Declan yell, Michael looks at me then reaches for Carmella’s neck, but before his hands are around her neck I am up on the back of his shoulders with my mouth around his neck ripping it apart, like a savage dog, blood going everywhere. Michael didn’t have time to even say one word before I felt the life from Michael leave is his body, his knees buckle and he starts to fall releasing Carmella from his hold, Luca ran over just in time to catch her from hitting the ground, and I steadily hit the ground with my feet

“I didn’t even see you move from my size Azeen.” Luca says his eyes filled with lust, and pride

I wipe my mouth with my arm removing the blood, I look at Declan, I see you have made your choice very clear. You could have walked away a free man but you chose to be difficult.  Did you think I was this weak fragile girl that I would just do as you say no questions asked? Wow how you underestimated everything.”

 As I’m finishing off what I have to say Luca and Carmella’s Dad and warriors rush the Gate, surrounding Declan bringing him to the ground. Alpha Antonio looks at me with a fatherly glare, “Do you want to kill him Azeen, have us kill him or do you want him thrown in our jail so he can be interrogated? I leave this choice to you Azeen, you are the one that has suffered most by his hands.”

“Take him to the jail, we all need answers.” I say, my body increasingly becoming heaving, my heart felt like it was racing, the fountain of the Moon Goddess was spinning so fast. “Luca” I managed to say as I fall to the Ground
