I blindly slapped my hand around my nightstand, desperately trying to silence my phone before it woke the dead. Across the small room, the mattress squeaked loudly. "Amy," Maya murmured, her voice muffled by a mountain of blankets. "Turn that evil thing off before I throw my shoe at you."
