I spent the rest of the afternoon going through the files Bruno had left for me.
It wasn’t overwhelming as i thought it would be or maybe everyone was going easy on me because I was a newbie.
Even though it wasn't overwhelming it was a lot to take in for a first day. Every once in a while, I would catch myself glancing at the empty doorway, wondering if he’d pop back in.
Ridiculous. I shook off the thought and tried to focus. Bruno’s kindness had thrown me off; he was unlike any boss I’d imagined—easygoing and warm, not intimidating in the least.
Plus he wasn't a woman.
As I buried myself in work, I almost forgot that I was scheduled to meet with a personal trainer in the office gym at the end of the day.
