Rafael rushed to his feet and turned to face the door. In a second, he was outside, in another he was inside. He had no time to wonder how fast that had happened and he looked around. The only source of light was a dim glow coming from the few flickering candles scattered throughout the hall. As he ventured further, the ominous silence engulfed him.
