Rafael led Quinn into his house which is a sanctuary. A place where no one would enter without being invited in.
"This man needs my help, Sonya," he declared firmly.
Sonya studied Quinn, her face wrought with scepticism. She bade Rafael to come close and now they both stood at the entrance, Quinn waiting outside.
“Do you trust this man?” Sonya asked.
“As far as I know, his story seems believable,” Rafael answered.
“Once you invite him in, it can't be undone, right?” she asked and Rafael nodded.
Rafael met Sonya's gaze head-on, undeterred by her doubts. "I know Kantos' ways with the things I have heard from him," he replied, his tone steady. "But trust me, Sonya. I believe his plea is genuine. We've faced similar struggles, and if we don't help him, who will?"
