Conrad's POV
Holly walked back into my office as soon as Avery was gone. She had to get this anger under control. I couldn't expect Holly to give up custody of her daughter completely if she really was mine and, from what she told me today, she really does need help. She doesn't want money, which is what I figured this was all about, but she had gotten mixed into the wrong group of people and got hooked on drugs, and she is trying to get clean. That is why she needs someone to take her daughter. She has no family. They disowned her when she got pregnant out of wedlock and all the friends, she had left were those that she did drugs with.
"I'm sorry about this, Conrad. When I came here, I didn't realize that your wife was going to be this big of a problem."
