I was stunned to find Jayden standing outside my house, soaked in the rain.
"How did you know where—?"
Before I could finish, he pushed past me and shut the door behind him. My legs trembled as he stood inches from me, his presence overpowering.
“Catriona, we need to talk. About what you saw,” he said firmly.
I struggled to steady my breathing. “How did you even find out where I live?”
Everything about him felt foreign now. After witnessing him transform—shift—into a massive wolf, he was no longer the Jayden I thought I knew. My instincts screamed that I had to get away before he changed again… and killed me.
Without warning, I bolted past him and grabbed the landline.
“I’m calling the police if you don’t leave my house right now.”
