Chapter 7 Jess wasn’t sure she wanted to invite Robert up. Bad enough her apartment looked like a slum compared to his penthouse. Added to that was Jess’s increasing fatigue and the dark cloud that once again settled over her as she thought of the empty rooms and all they signified.
