Meira

2370 Words

“What was that for?” Tommy questioned when they broke apart. At some point, he had pulled her closer to him and her hands were now firmly rooted in his hair. She did not mind on either accounts. And while he questioned her motives, she ran her fingers through his hair. Why had she kissed him? She turned the question on herself. She was unsure. She had just wanted to. She had wanted to kiss him, so she did. His words came back to her. “I just don’t understand why someone as amazing as you would want to be with someone who clearly does not care about you the same way. You are brilliant, Meira. You are smart and dedicated, you are everything that’s good in the world. If Jack Owen does not see this about you, he’s a fool. Frankly, he’s a fool for not running after you the moment he met you.”
