Even the elders of the Clan was secretly envious but held back because of their fear towards the ruthless Patriarch who was only doting to his wife and son.

His father is a peak stage Spirit Sovereign Cultivator one of the most powerful cultivator in their realm that is why the Chen Clan became the most powerful Clan at present.

This Cultivation world is divided into three major realms, the Immortal Realm as the realm of the Immortals who ascended the Tribulation Passage and reached the level of the gods and goddesses, the Human Realm as the home of most cultivators was also divided into five cultivation practices, Daoism, Buddhism, Spiritual Arts, Martial arts and Demonic cultivation. However, the most influential among them was the cultivation practice passed down by the Ancient Heavenly Sect Leader, Daoist Cultivation which boasted a multitude of sects and disciples all over the Human Realm. There are some humans who practice Demonic Cultivation varying with different circumstances and later on goes to the Demon Realm as the home of demonic cultivators and demonic beasts to further their cultivation stage. It is said that the Demon Realm is also abundant with Demonic Qi which was a good place for those who are practicing Demonic Cultivation. Demonic Cultivators are naturally ruthless in their act of killing that is why they are considered a great threat to the upright Immortal Cultivation Practitioners. There is a never ending feud between Immortal Cultivators and Demonic Cultivators for thousands of years.

Cultivation is divided into nine stages with their respective early stage, middle stage and peak stage. The difference between each stage is like heaven and earth. Qi Condensation simply used to temper the body enough to be able to sense and send Qi throughout the body, Foundation Establishment that goes one step further with specific methods, Golden Core wherein Qi is focused to a point and Nascent Soul as the Qi of the cultivator gains some consciousness projecting yourself outward. Rebirth is also made possible after death by possessing someone else with a cultivators Nascent Soul, Soul Formation, Soul Transformation, Spirit Sovereign and Tribulation Passage where as follows tempering ones self for ascension and Immortality as the last stage of cultivation.

The Human Realm have five major sects, the Chun Sect to the east, Qiu Sect to the west, Dong Sect to the north, Xiatian Sect to the south and the Heavenly Sect which is the most powerful of all Sects lies at the very heart of the Human Realm. There are also a hundred middle ranked sects and a thousand low rank sects.

Most Sect leaders of small sects are just in Golden Core stage, Sect leaders of mid ranked sects are usually in Soul Formation stage and the major Sects' leaders and elders have atleast 1 Tribulation Passage Sect leader or elder but most importantly the major sects and clans must have an ascended cultivator ancestor walking the godhood path of cultivation.

There are nine powerful major clans in descending order. The Chen Clan whose leader is a Spirit Sovereign and elders at the Soul Transformation stage which also has 3 ascended ancestors becoming the strongest clan in the Human Realm and not to be triffled with. Then the Zhong Clan, Yong Clan, Wen Clan, Shen Clan, Bai Clan, Ning Clan, Nan Clan and Hou Clan.

Chen Yuan remembered that the Protagonist comes from the Hou Clan. Hou Feng is with mediocre aptitude and talent but they didn't know his Divine Spiritual Roots were just sealed and became dormant.

When he turned 18 he was able to awaken his Divine Spiritual Roots by the help of his mother when he was trapped in a small world by the original Chen Yuan. Hou Feng grew up without a mother and a father who neglected him as a child, everyone told him his mother died giving birth to him and his father blamed him for that. He was trapped in the small world for 5 years and from the Foundation Establishment stage to Spirit Sovereign Stage surpassing Chen Yuan who was in Soul Formation stage by two Realms. His comeback shocked the whole Cultivation World reaching 5 stages in just 5 years while ordinary talented cultivators take up a tens or even a hundred of years to reach that stage.

Chen Yuan was out of his trance when he heard a clear and soft voice of a woman from afar coming over to him

"Yuan'er! Yuan'er!" The woman said affectionately. Her voice was extremely clear and gentle, filled with indescribable sweetness.

Her eyes was misty as she watched her son about to leave. Yesterday, she begged her husband not to let Chen Yuan go to the Heavenly Sect for she thought it was too dangerous there and she can't protect him but her husband sternly rejected her plea

"Yan'er our son is old now and I think it's time for him to stand on his own without us." Chen Fu soothed his crying wife the other night

Zhong Yan is the beloved youngest daughter of the Patriarch of the Zhong Clan, the second most powerful clan. She was delicately beautiful and elegant and was born to be very talented, now at the peak of Soul Transformation stage.

She loved her son dearly more than her own life and pampered him. She was too attached to her son and now it was very hard for her to let go and always worried about her son's well-being.

Chen Yuan was really jealous of the original Chen Yuan. In his previous life, his own father left them when he was young with his mistress and his mother left him later on for work so he was left all alone to live with his grandparents house. "Yuan'er always be careful and don't forget to write to me whenever you have time." Zhong Yan said looking at his son worriedly.

"Don't worry mom I'll be fine." Chen Yuan said and smiled at his mother to assure her

When Zhong Yan saw his son smile at her, she immediately held him to her embrace.

"Oh my little baby is an adult now." She said and sobbed

"Ahem! Son it's time to go." Chen Fu pretended to cough stopping the mother and son bonding

They were actually in the front of the Sect gate right now with the elders and younger disciples looking at them awkwardly

One by one the younger disciples went inside the Dragon Cloud ship which is a transportation artifact boasting the tremendous wealth of the Chen Clan with a guardian at the early stage of Soul Transformation to carry the disciples of the Chen Clan participating in the Heavenly Sect.

"I'm going now." He said to his parents before going inside the ship.

The Patriarch of the Clan and his wife, the elders, the senior disciples and all servants came to see them off the young disciples of the Clan waved their hands to say goodbye with their eyes full of hope to find success and honor their clan.

'I don't want to follow the original plot as the villain cannon fodder. I will write my own destiny.' He thought decisively, looking at the distant dazzling horizon.
