Chapter 1: Land of the Forgotten

I sighed as I walked into my apartment, closing the door behind me with a grumble. Another mentally painful day surrounded by wanna-be perfect prisses with their panties in a twist.

I've come to learn that the movies that show off the life of a teenager in highschool are almost entirely incorrect, disregarding the highschool itself. Wide halls, somehow seem to become narrow corridors in which the rats must sneak past the cats and hounds undetected. The rats being outcasted misfits such as myself, the cats being the sluts and the Einsteins, and the hounds being nothing more than the douches that run the school like a circus. This includes anyone strong enough to use their muscle to make a statement, even if its a pointless and quite irrelevant statement. The ones who couldn't mingle and match perfectly within the crowd of fake faces are thrown to the side as if they mean nothing in the wave of lies and deceit.

I try to forget the world I'm in, even if only temporary, I toss my achool bag against the wall and throw myself onto the mattress. I curled my body into a small ball, closing my eyes and just taking in the moment of pure silence and peace. At my house, it was the only time I would ever get a break like this. Silence not violence. A place where I can drown myself in calming games and playing guitar, or stuffing my face until my mind goes completely numb. I've even taken to pot to clear my mind, packing a bowl and puffing more than the big bad wolf and the three little pigs. Although I rarely do so as is.

As my mind flooded with thoughts of where my mind had wandered off to the land of endless self doubt and criticism. Who knows, maybe tomorrow will be a new day, hopefully one that isn't half as bad as today. More likely to be twice as bad, since tomorrow is the first day of the school year. At least I only have two years left in this hellhole, then I'm free from these chains and shackles of societies expectations.

Tomorrow might be better...
