Chapter 13: A Leader Emerges

The rogue leader was unlike any of the others. He was bigger, stronger, his fur jet-black and his eyes glowing a menacing red. The air around him seemed to crackle with energy as he stepped into the clearing, his gaze fixed on the triplets. A low growl rumbled from Aiden’s chest as he positioned himself between Sienna and the rogue Alpha, but she could feel the weight of the challenge hanging in the air.

The rogue leader shifted back into human form, a tall, muscular man with a cruel smile. “I’ve been waiting for this,” he said, his voice deep and gravelly. “The legendary Stone triplets. I expected more of a challenge.”

Aiden growled, stepping forward, his body still in wolf form. But the rogue Alpha only chuckled. “Relax, Alpha. I’m not here for you.” His eyes shifted to Sienna, and a shiver ran down her spine.

Her heart pounded in her chest as she realized his focus wasn’t on the triplets at all. It was on her. “What do you want?” she demanded, her voice shaking despite her efforts to sound brave.

The rogue’s smile widened. “You, of course. You’re the key to everything.”

Sienna’s stomach lurched. “What are you talking about?”

“You don’t know?” the rogue leader said, feigning surprise. “Ah, the triplets haven’t told you the whole truth. Typical.” He glanced at Aiden and his brothers, his expression smug. “You see, little human, you’re more important than you realize. There’s something in your blood, something that could tip the scales in this war.”

Sienna’s mind raced, trying to make sense of his words. Her blood? What did that have to do with the rogues?

Aiden growled again, his fur bristling as he stepped closer to the rogue Alpha. But before the tension could erupt into violence, the rogue leader raised his hand. “We’ll finish this another time, Alphas. For now, consider this a warning. She belongs to me.”

With that, he turned and disappeared into the shadows, his pack following close behind. The clearing fell silent, leaving Sienna alone with the triplets and more questions than ever.
