PRESENT Erin Erin looked at her watch and couldn’t believe the time. Her stomach started to grumble. She had only ordered coffee and was so caught up in Jack’s story that she had forgotten to eat. Earlier events had stolen her appetite but now that she was relaxed, it came back with a vengeance. “You wanna get out of here?” Jack put some cash on the table before Erin could protest. She had an expense account and fully intended to cover their cost but found it refreshing that Jack paid.
