I drive back to the park, feeling elated and maybe a little bit at peace too. I did not find Axel but I know I will find him soon! The thought makes me giddy.
I take some balloons and chocolates for both Mike and Cathy and some nice Whiskey only for Mike. I was such a douche earlier. I hope he forgives me and then maybe we can have some makeup s*x, all three of us?
I happily park by the park and I can scan the park but Cathy's nowhere. I take out my phone, and while I am waiting for it to switch back on, I see Mike standing with Fred in a distant corner, under a tree.
