The unknown hero

Case opened

After going at the place Angelo was last seen, his mom called the police. They arrived there in a few minutes and started searching for clues. The police found Angelo's phone broken. They took it at the lab for further details, hoping they'd get something out of it. They get every single information that was to be found on the phone and all his data. Looking at the calls they saw an unknown number, they called it but no answer, so they looked through his chats. They found that Angelo was texting with a man that claimed to be his dad's best friend and that he wants to meet him. This is their whole chat:

- Hello, excuse me but are you Angelo Seiko?

- Who is this?

- I'm John Lance.

- What do you want and how do you know my name?

-I just wanna talk, your name is your username and I asked you if you were Angelo Seiko because I was your dad's best friend and I have met you when you were still a little boy. I even have a picture if you want to see! 

- Yeah if you could send it, I wanna see it.

- Sure, *sends the picture* this is us when your dad was still alive. It's the three of us because your mom was catching the photo.

- It is us indeed but why did you text me?

- Because I want to meet you once again also just wanted to catch a glimpse of my friends face and catch up on the past.

- Yeah my mom says that I take after my father a lot. Ok then when do you wanna meet?

- Can we meet after tomorrow ? After school finishes maybe?

- Sure, I'll be there, but where?

- At the lake maybe? If that's cool with you.

- Alright see you then.

- Alright, bye.

But that day the incident happened that made Angelo sad, so he texted that man again saying to meet up tomorrow morning at 9 am and it seemed that they met up. He was the last one to meet Angelo so he was the main evidence and the main suspect too. They made some researching about him and turned out he was telling the truth. They got his address and went straight to his home. This time he answered and opened the door.

- Hello sir, we have some questions for you.

- Sure, about what?

- About Angelo Seiko, he's gone missing after you met up with him. Do you know anything?

- No I don't. I met up with him, I don't know like 2 days ago and that was the last time we talked. I tried calling him but he didn't answer so I just thought that he didn't want to talk with me anymore.

- No, he's gone missing and we're searching for him. If you know anything, please tell us. What did you talk about at the lake?

- We talked about his dad, how he was as a kid and how he grew up. We talked about his problems and why he didn't go to school.

- Why didn't he go to school ?

- I think he said he didn't want to go to school so he wouldn't see his friends because he knew that they felt bad after they reminded him of his dad.

- That's another reason why he should have gone though.

- I don't know what he thought, I knew I had to be by his side tho and that's what I did.

- When did you left the lake?

- I left at 12 pm because I had to go at my new job. I couldn't miss it.

- And you left Angelo alone?

- I didn't know that something would happen to him.

- Why did you choose such a quiet place?

- That lake was his father's favorite place that's why I chose it.

- Can we take a look inside your house?

- Yeah sure, I don't have anything to hide.

They went inside his house hoping to find some clues but they didn't. John had a white van, it looked like a van that's used for work but they couldn't help not to look in it. The police told him to open the van and inside they found a button, it looked like it was a child's button since it was so small. They got it and put it in a bag without letting John know what they found. They told him he was clear but he couldn't leave the town since he was the main suspect. After they took the button at the science lab, they figured it wasn't just an ordinary button, it was an uniform button. The uniform belonged to an elementary school close by. There were some fingerprints and they belonged to a child. She went missing 2 weeks ago and still wasn't found. They couldn't figure who was the culprit so it was still an opened case. Right after they found out that, they went to John again, but this time to arrest him. After getting John at the police station the interrogation began:

- So John Lance, do you know anything about a child going missing 2 weeks ago?

- What child?

- A little girl, she was like 10 years old.

- Yeah I do, I saw her on the news.

- You know that's not what I'm talking about.

- I don't know anything.

- How do you explain the button we found?

- That button has nothing to do with me.

- Are you sure? We found it at YOUR van.

- I don't know where it came from.

- Do you know whose button this is?

- How am I supposed to know?

- Stop acting John, say the truth.

- I told you I don't know anything about it.

The police chief went to look inside his house again, this time he'd pay more attention to the details. Walking in his home, he started searching for clues because this time he was sure he had to do something with the k********g and the missing children. He noticed that the clock wasn't in the right place. Something was preventing it from leaning on he wall, like it had something in the back. He got it and found a key but he couldn't see any door closed. The chief searched for any hidden basement but no luck. They started searching his drawers and found that one of them had a key, but that one wouldn't fit in. They just opened with force and inside it was just a book. It was an album. They got off everything they found on the drawer and saw that inside it was a hidden drawer. This time the key fit right in, opening that and inside it was something so terrible that no human being could do.
