CHAPTER THREE

659 Words
Camella's POV: I made my way into the house seeing my mum, sister and her boyfriend sitting down together discussing Adley's marriage. Adley is dating one of the most snobbish person I have ever met, he is arrogant, rude and a grade A p*****t. There was this one time he came to the house and tried to touch me when everyone was busy being distracted with one of the lastest gossip online. Arlo is 5"9, he is the regular blonde with blue eyes and a baby face but no one can deny that he is handsome but his terrible attitude ruined everything. I tried to make my way to my room without anyone noticing but like always like is not on my side, "how was the date with Mr Brown?" My mum asked as she stood in front of me, Betty, Arlo's mother looked up from the magazine she was going through with a questioning look on her face. I turned towards them with so much hatred in my eyes for the woman who gave birth to me. "What kind of mother are you, it's okay if you don't love me but must you sell me to such a depicable man?" I asked trying not to raise my voice but failing miserably. "Camella, how dare you speak to mum like this, don't you have any shame", she said raising her hand to hit me but I caught her hand in the nick of time and shoved her into Arlo's chest. "I am not speaking to you and I suggest you stay in your place", I asked sneering in the end with all my pent up frustration from having to deal with them. "Look at these, this is what the man you sold me to did to me. Do you know he threatened to have me turned into a p********e once he gets bored of me", I said showing her my wrists filled with hand print as tears threatened to spill from my eyes. Not giving her a chance to speak up I continued, "no matter what you do I am not going to get married to him so you can just return his mo...." I was not able to complete my sentence when a harsh slap landed on my cheeks that knocked me off my feets and to the floor. "How dare you speak to me in that manner, you have no choice either you marry Lewis or you die", she said gripping my hair tightly and hitting me one more time for special effects. "I rather die than marry that demon", I said trying to get her to release her grip on my hair. "Well, you can die at his hands and you will not inform anyone else about this or it will not end well for you", she said as she tightened her grip for a minute before letting go. I looked behind her to see Betty and Arlo keeping impassive looks mostly because they are used to it and most definitely aware of my mother's plans. Betty and my mother have been best friends since I could remember and are alike, both wicked and heartless. Arlo is a spoilt, self centered i***t who has not worked a day in his life , he and Adley are perfect for each other. I made my way out of the living room with the intention of going to my room knowing that they would be monitoring me to ensure I don't escape my wedding in a week. I started thinking of ways to escape this alive, I took my phone out of my purse and began to research more on Lewis Brown and so far he is not someone to mess with. If I am going to come out of this alive then I need someone who even Lewis fears. I went to bed trying to come up with ideas and praying to God for a miracle to happen.
