Camella Johnson's POV:
Waking up to an empty house I made my way to the bathroom to do my daily routine after checking the time and seeing that if I didn't hurry up then I would be late for my blind date with my fiance from an arranged marriage between the two families. I had tried to reject the proposal mostly because I don't trust any decisions made by my family regarding my life but as always, my mum threw a fit and started taking about how ungrateful I am and how I could never behave like twin sister.
My name is Camella Johnson, I am the unwanted daughter of Easton and Azalea Johnson (my parents), my parents always told me about how they wanted to abort me but because of my twin sister, who I am older than by five minutes, Adley, they could not do that since it would hurt her. I was always kept away from public eye because my sister is everything they ever wanted in a daughter while I am just a disappointment to them. Even from the womb they always favoured Adley more than me.
I have midnight black hair that reaches my waist and big brown doe eyes. My mum always complained about my little belly fat that is not even that noticable but she says I have a curvy body rather than her model like body. You see my mum used to be a model when she was younger but she says I am not good enough to represent her image and so she gave the opportunity to my twin who is her favorite daughter and here exact replica.
Adley has brown wavy hair and blue eyes which she got from my mum, she has a model like body and all my life I have had to bear being critised by my family for not being like her or being like her. This date was my parents idea of me being grateful to them for everything they have done for me. I made my way to my wardrobe which is smaller than Adley's walk in closet but big enough to fit all the clothes I bought with my hard earned money.
I picked out a deep orange full sleeves crop top with a v- neckline that shows a little of my cleavage and a matching orange fitting skirt that reaches past my knee, a pair of white heels and a white Gucci bag. I added little makeup since I never really like it. Making my way out of my room after spraying my favorite perfume from Yara which smelt like vanilla.
My mum was standing at the bottom of the stairs with my sister in hand and they both held scrutinising gazes towards my outfit. As usual, Adley was dressed in a barely there dress that showed too much cleavage and the only thing not out in the open is her n*****s. The supposed dress reaches mid thigh, and barely covers her a*s and her face is caked with so much makeup that it's hard to even imagine how long that took her to do since it's still early.
"What the hell are you wearing?" My mom asks as she scrunches her face in disgust, times like this is when I used to feel insecure about my curvy figure but I have come a long way in loving myself and I am not going to allow them to take me back to that depressed state. "I am wearing a dress that I like so I don't know why you should have a problem with", I said as I made a move to leave for my supposed date and to get it over and done.
"How dare you talk to mum like that?" Adley said as she made a move to hit me but before she could mum held her back and with a shake of her head Adley backed off with a huff heading to her room to maybe talk to all her many boyfriend. "I will let what you just said slide because you have listened to your father's words but the next time I will not be so lienent". She said as she sent me a message containing the name of the restaurant and the name of my blind date.
"You should leave before you get late and make sure to keep him entertained so we can get this contract", she says turning her heels and heading further into the house to prepare for her lunch with the cities top affluencial wife. I made my way to the door after getting a message that the Uber driver I ordered had arrived, you see my supposed parents didn't buy me any car like my sister who got everything she wanted, to them it was a privilege to even breath the same air as them.
I arrived at a very fancy restaurant named The Place, it is owned by the America's richest bachelor Arthur Smith, even the police bows down to his power and money. I pulled my skirt trying to adjust it since it hugged my curves perfectly. I made my way into the restaurant and towards the receptionist who stood at the desk eyeing me with disgust. "Excuse me, reservation under the name Brown", I said trying not to look nervous because deep down I surely am.
