Camella's POV:
"What!" I exclaimed not really understanding what he just said but at the same time I want to believe him. You see when I turned three my parents had enough of me and sent me to live with my grandparents in Philadelphia, they were old but still so full of life. My grandparents hated my mum because she created between my grandparents and my father and they were against their marriage. As I got older I spent more time with them and learnt that my father was kicked out of inheriting the company and properties because of how he was mismanaging it and he had to remain under the control of my uncle who died recently without any children of his own.
My uncle was like the father I never had, he would visit my grandparents with gifts for me and play with me but none of them could ever fill that hallow in my heart that needed to be filled by my family. "Your grandparents left all the properties to you and your uncle had been taking care of it since they died but he died so mysteriously and so your father is now acting as the chairman of the company". I listened as he brought out a file containing the will of my grandparents. Tears filled my eyes as I read through the will missing them more than ever.
"Your grandparents' lawyer gave this to my men, it's a letter from your grandparents for you", he handed me an envelope and I looked at him unsure if I should open it or not. Nodding his head, I opened the envelope and got comfortable on his comfy couch and with my legs crossed. Arthur began to do some paperwork while I began to read the letter;
"Dear, Cam, we love you more than life itself and if you are reading this letter it means we are no longer on this Earth. Your parents met in highschool and were among the popular kids and they fell in love, or rather your father. Your mother was from a poor family and was after your father's inheritance, we tried to warn him about her but he was or is so blinded by her love that he gave up everything. We threatened to kick him out of the inheritance but he refused to leave her so we have the company to his first born child.
Your mother never wanted to have children but when she found out about the inheritance she got pregnant and had you two, the tried to make us believe that Adley was older so we could give the inheritance to her since she was easier to control unlike you. We later found out the truth and your parents were angry that we gave it to you, fearing they might do something to you, we made you stay with us. Your uncle is taking care of the company until you come of age but if anything were to happen to you then the company would go to your sister.
We love you darling more than anything, you were given to us by God as a replacement for the son we lost to your mother, know that you are meant for great things and you will meet someone who will love and care for you just like we do and even more." Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I held the letter in my hands, there is also the will attached to the letter inside the envelope. "Why did you get this?" I asked not being able to stop the tears from flowing down my cheeks. I felt Arthur pick me up from my seat and sit in my previous seat with me in his lap.
Leaning into him, he wrapped his arms tightly around my waist drawing me closer if possible. "You need to know, your parents are spending your money recklessly and your grandparents hard work is going down the drain. The company is losing its investors due to bad leadership". Arthur said as he wiped away my tears and placed a kiss on my forehead, "but my father always says the company has never been better than it is with him". I said not understanding anything that is currently going on.
