Devon's POV
(A few hours prior to Samika's public appearance)
I woke up early in the morning. Pack house doesn't feel the same without her. It's silent. Gladys looks bored and sad most of the time. For the first time ever, Maximilian asked me when Samika would be back. Because he was missing her.
No one in this pack actually heard something like that from Maximilian. Samika always wanted to get closer to him and now I guess she'd be happy to know that he misses her.
I go on a wolf run again, letting my wolf sprint in the woods. I am in the mood for some hunting so I let wolf do that too.
"Now what made you this moody?" I ask my wolf who doesn't look that excited even after hunting a doe.
"I really want to go see mate," he says and I cannot agree more.
