Devon sent his spies on human lands to check on both Nyle and Alyssa. Tyler sent the wolf ears to the lab just to cross check if they belong to a werewolf or just a regular wolf in the forest.
Whatever the result is, I am still afraid. Even if Devon's spies come back and tell him that both Nyle and Alyssa are safe, even then I'd still be afraid. Even if the lab people tell Tyler that those were regular wolf ears that wandered in the forest, I would still be afraid.
Because how did my father exactly know that wolf ears would freak me out? Why did he give me wolf ears as a present? What could be his intention behind it??
"What if he knows?" I ask Devon and he just stares at me with a flat face.
