Violet clutched the box in her hands. Her gaze moved to Leo's photo. She looked at Leo's face.
'Leo, are you mad that I brought him into this house? I know you hate him. But he saved your sister's life. He deserves to get help,' she said in her mind.
Daniel studied Violet's expression as she looked at Leo Easton.
There was a darkness that encircled his vision. His eyes grew cloudy. His voice came out deep.
"He must be missing you, too," he said.
Violet turned away from Leo's photo and looked at him.
"What?" she questioned.
Daniel motioned his head to Leo's photo and said, "He must be missing you, too. Wanna go to him?"
Violet was stunned. Though his words were sarcastic, they indicated that she was talking about her death.
Violet gave him a stern look. "Are you threatening me?"
