Constance was a short, plump, elderly woman. Her hair was a short, white bob that curled in at the neck and her eyes had grey rings around the iris. She was dressed in a loose pink blouse, beige pant and a floral apron at her waist. She was nothing Avery had imagined her to be. Her face was lit up at the sight of Daniel, tears already forming in her eyes. “Its been too long Danny. I’m surprised you didn’t get lost on your way back. ” Constance teased in her thick southern accent, as she wiped her eyes with the edge of her apron. “Very funny. How could ever forget you or my home.” Daniel laughed as he picked up his bags.
