I was in my Supreme witching class, learning how to send a dog demon (known colloquially as a 'devil dog') back to hell. It was a disturbing thought no matter how you looked at it. I wasn't sure what I found more disturbing - that devil dogs were real, or that they needed to be sent back to hell.
I wondered briefly if Neumann could take the devil dog form, and quickly dismissed the idea. Neumann was probably too lazy to get possessed effectively. I was willing to bet that most English bulldogs were.
Apparently, possessed dogs ran around a lot, and were big on displays of ferocity and strength. The only time Neumann ever ran anywhere was when there was food involved. He'd slept through my last home intruder's arrival, and the only thing he attacked with any regularity was
