I woke up the next morning and smiled, looking at Alexis sleeping beside me. I still couldn't believe that last night had really happened. It all felt like an incredible dream. In fact, if she hadn't been there beside me, I probably would have wondered if it had been just that, a dream. After her boss left, we decided to come to my place and talk. We'd talked all night, and fell asleep in each other's arms.
I felt a connection to her that I'd never experienced before. Not even with Daphne. Alexis seemed to understand me on a level that I had never hoped to attain with another person.
