What in the hell was Rick doing at his ex's house? I stared at the little red dot pinpointing his location, seething with fury. I had been terrified that a horrible accident had befallen Rick, while he was hanging out with Daphne. How could I have been so gullible?
My thoughts turned dark at his betrayal. My heart sank as I imagined him with Daphne. Kissing her, hugging her, telling her that he had always loved her. That seeing her again made him realize that he couldn't live without her.
I'd been cheated on before. My ex-boyfriend Tommy had been seeing his old girlfriend for weeks behind my back. It was years ago, but I still remembered the blinding pain I felt when I'd returned home from work early one day and caught them together in our bed.
