Chapter 10

Knock.. Knock..

"Dinner serve" Tobius announce without walking into the room.

"Thanks, we'll be there, Tobius" Malcolm answer him but we both know the man didn't moves from the door. Malcolm sighed and walks to the door "What is it, Toby?" He asked impatiently.

"Is she okay? " I heard Tobius asked and I am shock to know that 'she' is me that he asks.

He really worried.

"Do you think I'm going to kill her?" Malcolm snaps rudely before he wider the door open "Look for yourself"

I was sitting on the couch inside Malcolm room when I watch Tobius concern face walks into the room.

He release a hard breath when he saw me smiling.

"Thank God you're okay, my lady" He speaks politely and I can see how worried he is while Malcolm rolled his eyes and scoffs.

I chuckled "I'm fine, Tobius"

But the man just shook his head seriously "You must okay my lady, I can't imagine what going to happen if something happen to you. Not only Master Malcolm will going crazy but we all also..."

What?

"TOBY!!"

Tobius quickly shut his mouth after Malcolm calls his name before he politely down his head and leaving.

Again, something strange happen in front of me.

I can't imagine what going to happen if something happen to you. Not only Master Malcolm will going crazy but we all also....

What he's going to say?

"Ehem" I turn my head back to Malcolm "Shall we eat?" He asked and give his hand for me to grab it.

I nod before stood up by his help and walks together to the dining room.

"Tobius looks worried" I start the conversation and feel his hand tense a little after I say it.

But Malcolm smile to hide it "Well.. I guess he worried that I'm going to put you in the hospital since my last playing time with my brother ending him in the ER" he speak lightly and chuckled.

I gasped "What happen?"

"Too close to the wolves" He shrugged but my eyes widened with the news he told me.

"Wolves" I whisper and shudder thinking about what did the wolves do to put his brother in ER.

I can't imagine it.

Malcolm touch on my back snap me back from my mind and I start moves my feet again to follow him to the dining room.

I can't hide my amaze when I walk.

Everything looks old but it's maintained very well.

Long hall with pictures of Black's family and end with a huge picture of Malcolm, or is that his grandfather, who wore an old suit like a Duke or Prince that I know from the movies like Sense and Sensibility or Victorian area.

I didn't realize that I stopped in front of the huge picture until a voice startle me from behind.

"You guess right, it's my Grandfather" I turn my head to meet an amused face of Malcolm before he raises his head and studying the picture.

I softly touch it and studying it.

This is not the first I saw a great painting but this picture of the Malcolm ancestor were one of the great painting that I ever saw. He rides a black horse with a raise left hand that holding a big sword.

He also has the same eyes like Malcolm, light brown, is that possible?

"He looks so much like you" I comment and he chuckled before nod his head.

How come he looks amused every time we talks about his grandfather?

Like this picture is.. him?

It can't be... Then he must be 100 years or older.

"Come" Malcolm break the silence and touch my hand "I can hear your stomach roaring" He teased.

Too solemn to my own mind, I didn't say anything and just walking with him.

Is that possible that this picture is him?

That there's no grandfather?

I quickly shook my head and leave the crazy thought before gasped loudly when I watch the food in front of me.

"Are you invite more people?" I asked dumbly when I saw that they serve a tons of food that enough for 20 peoples.

But I can't shock enough when Malcolm shook his head as his answer which mean this food is for the both of us.

I don't know how to react with the news and start studying the delicious food but too much for only two people.

"Thanks for today?' I said when we reach my grandmother house and he stopped the car.

"I'm sorry for push you from the cliff" He grinned and I hit his shoulder playfully.

"You scare me, don't do that again"

He smile when he nods before grabs my hand and kissed it softly.

My heart beating faster, why he always do something like this?

No one ever treat me like he does.

"Can I see you again tomorrow?" He asked softly and lock his gaze on me.

Trying not to blush I chuckled "Not enough of me for two days?" I tease.

"Definitely not" He answers seriously and I can't hold it anymore when I feel my face warmer by how he speaks and staring at me.

We stood there staring at each other until a car, that I notice a police car, Phil, stop behind Malcolm car.

He sighed and close his eyes while I chuckled.

"Phil" I rolled my eyes but shocked when I see his darkened face.

"He needs to mind his own business or.." He speak coldly but I quickly touch his hand and saw him shook his head quickly.

What is that?

He looks different..

Dangerous..

"Sorry" He smile and I nod dumbly "I'll see you tomorrow then"

I slowly open the door and walks out from his car but before I can move one step from the car, Malcolm hand already helps me and he walks me to the door.

I know Phil must be watching everything, but I don't car, he really need more hobbies than watching people.

My mother isn't home yet by saw no light inside the house but I'm not surprise to see Cindy already there waiting for me with a crossed arms when she saw Malcolm.

I sighed "You can leave, Malcolm. I think I'll be okay by myself" I told him who look mad but nod and still giving me a small smile before lean closer and give me a peck on my cheek.

I quickly touch my cheek where he kiss and watch him leave.

He roared the machine before speed away.

He kiss me..

Oh God.

I giggled and keep touching my kissed cheek until a voice snap me and wake me up from the dream.

"You know what time is it now, Lucia?" Cindy snarl with her arms crossed.

Does she really act like she's my mother?

Knock.. Knock..

"You awake?" I quickly unlock my door room and open it when I hear my mother's voice speak from outside.

She smiles when she saw me and I notice Cindy stand behind her.

"I heard you have amazing day with one of Black member" She comment and I rolled my eyes.

"Laura" Cindy starts but my mother raise her hand to shut her which make me smile.

"Cindy, I know my daughter more than anyone and I know how mature she is than other teenager in her age so I trust her" I shout really loud in my mind when my mother's speak to her friend like that and I love her more than before.

Go mom!

"I don't mean to acts like her mother, I just worried that.."

"I understand and I thank you for your concern" my mother nod and tap her shoulder with an understanding smile "But, she's my daughter and let me handle her, okay?"

Silence.

I can see Cindy fought with her own mind before she nod and smile.

"Okay, I'll leave now"

We both didn't say anything when she storm out and slam the door roughly than she supposed to.

"You're my hero, mom" I break the silence and smile.

She sighed before wrap her arm on my shoulder "I lived in this small town once and know how annoying when people start interfere our life" She said and shook her head.

"Thank you, mom" I whisper and put my head on her shoulder before we sat on the couch in the living room.

She chuckled "When Cindy say that you're locking yourself on your room, I know she must be do something that upset you because I know you can't yelled to other especially older people" She says and kiss my forehead "So tell me about the Malcolm Black that people talks about. I only meet him once and I know why you so fond of him, I am if I'm your age" I laugh when hear her comment before start talking to her about my two days spending with Malcolm.

My mother was a good listener and only comment when she find something funny.

But she, like Tobius, quite mad when know Malcolm push me to jump from the cliff.

"Thank God you're okay" She sighed and studying me for a second before give me a warm embrace.

I chuckled "I'm fine mom, that was scary but it's exciting"

She doubts it and unconvinced but didn't say anything.

This is the first we talk this much and I like it. My mother looks happy and calm, perhaps this small town really calming her. This is the woman that I know once before my father ruin her and I'm happy to meet her again.

"I love you, mom" I whisper before lean on her shoulder and she hold me tight. We were sleeping like that on the couch holding at each other like our life depends on it.

Let's see Malcolm POV :

I roar really loud in the forest and feels Tobius arrived quickly.

"Master?" He asked when I stopped releasing my anger.

"The human, Phil, I almost kill him" Was my short comment and I know Tobius understand how that human always acts like he knows everything in this place and need to protect everything.

He didn't welcome me and I also know he hate me, but I try my best to ignore him, but today, he dare disturb me when I'm having a great time with my queen.

"What stop you, master?' Tobius asked and I know my answer will shock him.

It shocked me too when it happen but I guess it was the bond.

She's really my match.

"Lucia calming me" I notice the shocked in his face after I said it since I was known as unforgiving prince and no one can calming me down when I'm angry. I use to kill anyone who dare touch me when I'm angry but today when Lucia hand touch me, my anger gone as fast as it come and it really shocked me.

He didn't say anything when we start walking back to Lucia grandmother's house with our power.

I saw the stupid police already gone along with the female version of him who like to meddle other people life.

I go directly to Lucia's room and shocked when saw her nowhere until I feel her presence from down stair.

Lucia and her mother sleeping together in front of the fireplace on the couch hold to each other.

It was a great view; it tells me how deep she loves her mother.

"They have special bond" Tobius comment and I nodded agree him.

"Um.."

Lucia stir and I quickly move her so she can lie down comfortably beside her mother without hurting her fragile body.

I touch her cheek before I move away with a small smile on my lips.

She's really beautiful.

But when I start moving, I am shocked when I meet two pair eyes staring at me.

Shit!

Her mother awake.
