CHAPTER TWO

I was smiling while looking at the ceiling of my room, actually, since we left the mall, this smile has not disappeared from my lips.

Maybe if someone were to see me now, they would think I was losing my mind. I really can't control my emotions, especially every time I remember what happened earlier, when we met, I want to scream in excitement.

I used to only see him on social media, but earlier at the mall we were very close to each other! Even if it was only a few minutes, I couldn't get her perfect face out of my mind. He's so handsome!

I stopped thinking when the door of my room opened. Liana came in and went straight to my bed. "Gale, your mummie and daddie are calling you downstairs."

I looked at my wall clock. "They're already there? Seriously, it's already night? Time flies."

I've been staring at my ceiling for hours. And I've been thinking about Titus for a few hours, but I don't fell bored.

She nodded. "Aunt Gabbie asked me where we went and what we did earlier."

She is referring to mummy. Like I said, they are like family to us, so she calls mummie, aunt.

"What did Nanay Lourdes say to you?" Then I call her mom mom.

"Mama wasn't mad because I went with you, but she still scolded me because we didn't tell her where we were going. She was looking for us earlier, luckily it came to her mind that the two of us were together."

Because Liana doesn't leave the house without me.

Suddenly I remembered what I wanted to share with her. "Liana..." I called her name.

I had no intention of telling her what happened earlier but I feel like I will go crazy if I don't tell her the reason why I feel so happy right now.

She looked at me. "Why Gale? Is there a problem?"

I took out my photo album that contains random pictures that I took myself since I was a child.

From the photo album I took that picture which is one of the best I got and showed it to Liana.

She was still surprised at first but that quickly changed to her teasing smile. "Titus?" she assured. "He's so handsome in this picture. His smile is so genuine, that type of smile that makes you smile too. Smile that will make your day," she commented.

I can't stop smiling. That's what comes to my mind when I look at this picture of him.

I still remember that day, he and his friends were laughing and then I took a picture of them. I'm just hiding and taking pictures quickly because someone might see me, because almost all the girls in our school have a crush on him and if they see me, they'll bully me.

It wasn't until then that I looked at the pictures I took, seriously, I fell in love with him even more.

"Did you meet earlier? Really? Didn't you?" Liana happily asked me. She has known for a long time that I like, dream and love Titus. I bit my lip to stop the thrill I was feeling. "You're blushing Gale, that means it's true!"

I smiled and nodded. "Yes, we also talked earlier."

"No matter what the reason is, learn to tell us if you're leaving. Especially you Gale, your mummie was very worried when she found out you left earlier."

"I'm sorry, nanay. I promise we'll tell you next time if we leave, but I hope there won't be any bodyguards with us. Even if it's just the two of us and Liana, can we go?"

I just hope she agrees to my request.

The three of us went down together. Nanay Lourdes and Liana went straight to the laundry area. Then I walked towards the dining room where mummy and daddy were waiting for me.

When I got close to them I gave them a kiss on the cheeks before I sat down.

"Manang Lourdes said that you left earlier? Is that true?" mummie asked me in a worried voice. Even daddy who was reading the papers he was holding stopped and looked at my place.

I'm not surprised that they already knew about us going to the mall earlier. Liana already mentioned it to me.

I'm also sure that while we were just on our way to the mall earlier, those bodyguards reported that we left.

"Do you want to say something, darling?" Dad is waiting for what I have to say.

I drink water first. "I missed going out, dad. That's why I went to the mall earlier. Liana was with me as well as those bodyguards."

I felt guilty, it seems that I really worried them too much.

I suddenly felt excited at what I heard. So I thought which country would be nice to go to? Could it be Europe? Or just here in Asia?

"I'm out of town that day, but I can cancel it for our trip," dad answered quickly after sipping his coffee.

"Out of town? Hasn't the business proposal of the Razons been settled with the company yet?"

My chest is beating so hard now. I want to scream with joy and excitement but I have to hold back because I'm here with mummie and daddie right now.

I suddenly thought of what daddy said. "W-why..." I don't know what to say.

Dad laughed. "Don't worry, darling. I have no intention of marrying you to a man you don't like. Especially to a man you have never met. Your happiness is the most important thing to us, nothing else."

Why do I feel sad all of a sudden?

"You're dad is right. Whoever you will love when the day comes, we will support you. As long as you are happy and that man will love you more than we love you."

I thought daddy and mummie were going to talk about something else, but I was wrong. I didn't expect what he said next.

I feel like a proud girlfriend now because of what daddy says, but I'm just imagining it because I'm not really his girlfriend.

The truth is, I want to smile now because of what I'm hearing, but I have to hold back because they might ask more questions.

Even me, I want to agree with what they say, because everything they say is really true, not because I like Titus or what. But that's really the truth, no lies.
