Episode 6:The Awakening Below

514 Words
The eclipse had begun. The twin moons, one silver and one shadowed, drew closer in the sky, their light fusing into a single beam that pierced the heart of Eldoria Academy. The ground trembled as the ancient runes beneath the school flared to life, illuminating the catacombs with blinding brilliance. Lyria and Kael stood before the altar, the Heart of the Eclipse pulsing between them. The spectral being’s voice echoed through the chamber, resonating with the rhythm of the earth itself. “The world before time stirs,” it intoned. “The first Eldoria calls to its heirs.” Kael tightened his grip on his blade. “If the old world awakens, it could consume ours. The merge wasn’t meant to go this far.” Lyria’s eyes glowed faintly with silver light. “Maybe it was. Maybe this is what the Veil wanted all along—to remember what was lost.” The ground split open, revealing a vast chasm beneath the academy. From its depths rose the ruins of a forgotten city—towers of crystal and stone, suspended in shimmering light. The air was thick with ancient magic, and whispers filled the space like a chorus of memories. Lyria stepped forward, drawn by an invisible force. The mark on her wrist burned brighter, and the Heart of the Eclipse lifted from the altar, hovering before her. Kael reached out. “Lyria, wait—” But it was too late. The sphere shattered, releasing a surge of energy that enveloped her completely. Visions flooded her mind: the birth of Eldoria, the creation of the Veil, and the moment it was torn apart. She saw the first guardians—beings of moonlight and shadow—binding the worlds together to protect something hidden deep within the earth. When the light faded, Lyria stood transformed. Her eyes shimmered with both moons’ light, and her voice carried an echo of the ancient guardians. “The true Eldoria isn’t a place,” she said softly. “It’s a memory—a promise bound in time. And it’s waking.” The spectral being bowed its head. “Then you are its Keeper.” Kael stepped closer, his expression torn between awe and fear. “What does that mean for us?” Lyria looked toward the surface, where the academy’s towers now glowed with the same silver light as the ruins below. “It means the two worlds are no longer separate. The past and present are one. But something still sleeps beneath us—something that remembers the first eclipse.” A deep rumble shook the ground, and a fissure of light split the sky above the academy. From within it came a sound like a heartbeat—slow, powerful, ancient. Kael’s voice was barely a whisper. “The heart of Eldoria itself.” Lyria turned toward the light, her expression resolute. “Then it’s time to wake it.” As the eclipse reached its peak, the world of Eldoria shimmered between realities, and the first dawn of a new age began to rise.
