Chapter 106

A swish as someone suddenly came out of the tunnel, holding a hammer with claw marks on his face...about three of them. The man looked around searching for a familiar face among the crowd. Seeing the shiny green hair, he smiled and walked up to the owner.

"Craig" Ronald stretched his hand to tap Justin on the back.

But before he could do so, a pale white hand held his and flung it away. Ronald was a big man so he could easily hold his own against the strength of another. Immediately counter attacking, he held the pale hand with his left and pulled in.

As the person came in Ronald pushed his head forward violently, delivering a headbutt in that moment.

A metallic sound as his head bounced back off the hin forcefield that had appeared between his head and the other person's.

Justin looked back, only just aware of what was happening. He saw Ronald 's forehead bleeding with an angry look on his face as he stared at jinx.

"heh serves you right" jinx stuck out her tongue

"Ronald!" Justin immediately rushed to his aid and helped him up.

Ronald wiped the blood of his forehead and stared daggers at Jinx

"who's she" he asked. He could see that the girl was definitely with Justin.

"oh...her....?" Justin felt awkward. It was like he was a man who had just been caught cheating by his wife. "Ronald, meet jinx. Jinx...Ronald" Justin chuckled as he scratched.

Jinx smiled brightly and offered her hand for a handshake like no previous confrontation had happened earlier.

Ronald snorted and ignored the hand. "I've got something to tell you" be said and forcefully dragged Justin to another corner.

"I know I know, I don't know who she is, she just came outta nowhere-" Justin began explaining. It seems what had happened to Ronald was caused by jinx so he tried to explain to avoid any further troubles.

"Forget that...." Ronald dismissed his words and continued on "I met Athena" He said.

Justin stopped speaking...then his mouth curved in a mischievous smile "so....what happened hehe" Ronald and Athena had sparks flying between them ever since the first they met. He wouldn't be surprised if something juicy had happened between them now

Ronald 's expression dimmed "I wish it was like that...."

"Huh...what happened?" Justin noticed his bleak look.

"She was my inspector...." Ronald said s he gently caressed the freshly healed claw mark on his face.

"Oh...shit...Athena was an inspector?" Justin asked surprised. He hadn't really paid attention to ye other inspectors' names and he was quick to forget them. He even thought both asmodieus and Athena had been eliminated... but apparently Athena was still in the game.

"Yes...she gave me these marks" Ronald show the marks to Justin.

"Nice makeup" Jinx suddenly said as she appeared behind Ronald and touched the marks on his face.

Ronald jerked and slapped jinx away with his backhand.

Of course, like earlier, the slap didn't make contact and Ronald was instead hurt.

"Hahahaha" Jinx laughed and immediately hid behind Justin.

Ronald 's eyes blazed with anger as he realised what this girl was planning to do to him. She wanted to eliminate him without even fighting...this little f*****g s**t!

All he could do was contain his anger as any violent outburst now could lead to a potential premature elimination from the zugan race.

"Jinx!" Justin wasn't a fool, he too realised what jinx was aiming for. He shouted her name to call her attention.

Jinx shivered and answered with an innocent voice "Yes darling...." she put on her usual smile to stop Justin from doing anything bad to her.

Justin gave her a fierce knowing look and didn't say anything. Jinx knew she had wronged him and quietly sulked in a corner.

"So...what of asmodieus,is he still in the race?" Justin asked now that they were free of any disturbance.

"I have no idea. I didn't even get the chance to ask Athena" After he had tied her up, all he aimed for from then on was to gather his remaining fruits. He knew it wouldn't hold her for long so he had to hurry up. He had no time to even ask her any questions about asmodieus.

"guess it's only the two of us...didn't know the race would be so brutal" Justin sighed.

"Aha...there's something I've been meaning to ask you" Ronald suddenly said.

"What is it?"

"Before we entered the race, when they announced the names of the challenges...I saw that you reacted strangely to the third challenge 's name. Ah...what was it....ha! Escape from planet earth" Ronald said with more energy in his voice now.

"Do you know anything about the challenge?" he asked.

"Ah that...."Justin 's forehead began to sweat, he had no way of explaining it to Ronald without saying he was from earth or he knew a place like that so he just dismissed the words "Nah I just found that the challenge name sounded really good...nothing else" He shrugged it off.

Ronald looked at Justin suspiciously for a moment and then dismissed his thoughts "oh well...I thought you might have something on it that could benefit us" he said without much thought.

But inside, Ronald was still suspicious. Justin 's behaviour was really strange, he sometimes spoke to himself like he was talking to something and made all this motions in the air like a mad man. Even during the race when they were roasting the rabbit, Justin had also spaced out. And also, how did the guy always get strong so fast? Few months ago he wasn't as overpowered and overbearingas he was now. The m******e in the furst challenge spoke volumes of Justin 's capabilities...this man definitely had secrets, And for sure he would definitely be the one to discover them!
