Chapter 3

In the vast Grasslands grasses stretched throughout the expanse, the grounds vibrated and a huge grossly looking creature appeared to chase down a man. *pant pant* “oh god…oh god” Justin ran as far as his foot could take him but the centipede like creature was gaining on him and the screen just made it worse by obstructing his view “what the f**k is this thing??” *does the host wish for the system to analyse the current threat?* “current threat? You mean this f*****g thing chasing me?? Yes! Analyse the f**k out of it whatever! Just let me survive!” Justin screamed at the top of his lungs, he had never faced any danger like this in his life! Seems like life was getting ready for another session with him.

Name: Baby mutated centipede

Weakness; fire

System has automatically switched to internal communication mode and transferred all data directly to host's brain*

After getting the info the first thing Justin could think of was “ it’s just a baby centipede??????” *shriek* a loud shriek came from behind him and he looked back seeing the mutated centipede's mouth open *gurgle* a green liquid came out of its wide mouth and shot forward heading directly for him. Reacting immediately, Justin dodged putting all his strength into jumping to the side *sshhhh* the grasses sizzles beside him as the green matter dropped on it, melting through the grasses into the floor and down.

Horrified at the sight, he immediately got back on his feet and took off as he though *I’m so gonna die!” he ran and ran as the centipede chased after him occasionally shooting the green liquid at him but missed every time. Justin knew he couldn’t continue like this and he calmed himself down while still running and tried to think up a plan “with things going like this’ll be dead in a few more minutes…I’m tired of running and this thing's almost caught up with me. Moreover there are no visible sheltering any where so I could hide or even any other living thing…damn! What to do what to do…” he kept thinking while running…the only reason he lasted this long was because he had experience in the running fields, having won a medal for representing his school in a marathon race he could endure this much but it couldn’t go on forever.

Then he remembered something “the system!” he had never really focused on the system since he had never really had time anyway…danger from right the moment he landed “hello? Anyone there? System??” Justin spoke out loud hoping for a response from the system *system at the command of the host* “any help on how I could survive this situation right now?” he figured the system would be of help since and it seemed quite smart as well *yes, there are several options available to the host to survive the current threat* “aha!” Justin's expression brightened up “tell me!!”

* Option one; Host uses the stamina potion to restore his endurance and keeps on running in hopes of meeting any humans that would help him along the way….considering the nature of this land and the scarcity of any signs of life, this option has a 20% success rate* “huh!* Justin dodged another acid liquid “Option two?”

*Option two; Host uses both the swift speed boots item along with the stamina potion to further increase his speed and hope to outrun the mutated baby centipede….success rate; 70%* “hmmm a 70% success rate don’t wanna ta-“ *shriek!!* the centipede spat out another green liquid at Justin “oh for f**k's sake can’t u stop that already??” Justin screamed at the centipede and kept running “any other options??”

*Option three; Host learns the fire Dragon punch skill and uses it against the mutated baby centipede in hopes of defeating it……considering the weakness of the c entipede this option has a 40% success rate P.S best option recommended by the system considering the possible rewards that would be gained from killing the centipede* “oouu the system recommends the most dangerous option to me…..thank you system!!” Justin rolled his eyes at the system’s words and contemplated on what option would be best. Considering the success rates and everything, the second option really felt like the best thing to go for “alright let’s go with option tw-“ *Option four* he was cut off by the system’s voice right at that point “Option four?” he was surprised there were still more options…what else to do?

*Option four; Host uses the stamina potion, the swift boot item and the fire Dragon skill tactically against the mutated baby centipede……success rate 98.3%.....highly recommended option* “well well well….this might be crazy but I think I just found the right option! System we're going with option four, activate the boots and potions….imma kill this thing!” Justin's eyes shone….he was once again filled with excitement, something he had lost over the years *stamina Option activated…….stamina replenished…..swift boots activated….speed increased by 150%* a golden glow surrounded Justin and his feet was gradually covered by a silver coloured sheet that formed into a leather boot, he immediately felt like he could run from earth to the Sun in seconds! “shoo! Time to kill this beast that’s be tormenting me!

Justin stopped running and stood his ground *shriek!* the centipede saw that the prey had stopped and thought it was out of strength so it immediately rushed at it “hehe dumb bastard!” *woosh* Justin charged at the animal with no sign of fear *gurgle* the centipede was close enough to Justin and it spat out the acid liquid hoping for an easy kill. Justin felt like the world all around him was in slow motion and he could see the centipede slowly spitting out the liquid “alright now here’s my chance!” jumping off the floor he avoided the acid liquid and like he had seen in the animes he watched during his younger years he punched at the centipede while screaming “fire Dragon punch!!!!!!!” *invalid…host has not learned skill…..learn fire Dragon punch skill Yes/No* “the f**k????” justin then remebered he had forgotten to tell the system to learn the skill prior to using it “im f****d!!” he was face to face with the centipede now with no attack or defense!
