Two weeks later

It’s been two weeks and Shayla has adapted well in the pack house. Richard hasn’t returned to the pack and Sabrina thinks that the bond has been severed. She doesn’t know if It’s through death or betrayal, but she had admitted that the bond was weak prior to him leaving. Nonetheless, Sabrina and Shayla have become closer and both will be protected.

These last few days have been exceptionally busy due to the royal Lycan family and trainer to the royal’s elite guard will be arriving tomorrow and spending the week with us as we have announced a royal masquerade that all can join. I have also planned a few other activities with the goal in mind to give young pups things to do as well as date or family activities for all pack members. Mom is currently on the phone with the vendors that will be setting up in the carnival area and outside to make sure the games are for all ages. I have been setting up the food trucks and catering for the masquerade. My betas parents are in charge of ensuring the sleeping arrangements for everyone especially when we have brought in our pack from the outskirts of our territory. However I feel like the homes of these pack members are perfect to place to put the alphas themselves to keep some of the peace plus they will patrol those areas especially if there are mates and pups around. I have my beta and her mate working on tournaments allowing warriors from all packs to move up and rank or to show off their skills to their new mate. My dad’s working on getting everyone here and setting up meetings for alliances to be formed. I have both of our Gammas working on patrol schedules that also allows them to participate in the activities. And Eli is working on security in the the activities as well as the schedule training for our guard to train with the royal trainer and or mix up with the other packs to learn new moves. I have asked Sabrina to make sure the pack hospital is ready for the influx of people and potential accidents that can happen. Shayla was a huge help in setting up a pool party with some of the omegas and I have asked for a day of muddin and bonfires. I think the activities once everyone is here will definitely be a great experience for all. My mom is absolutely over the moon in doing this huge get together because no other pack has hosted something quite like this for as long as we are doing it and how different. I get off the phone and look up to a smiling Shayla, “hey mom, I was wondering if we could do something today?” “I was thinking the same thing. Tundra wants to run for a bit would you like to go for a ride and maybe go swimming?” “Yes!! I will go get ready and mom pack yourself a bag I can carry it.” “Your so sweet ok I’ll get a back pack ready” she heads upstairs and I look at my mom who has a tear in her eye, “she is just a precious angel, and it makes me so happy that she is yours.” “Thanks mom, I can’t believe how quickly she has adjusted and that she is willing to call me mom. Every time I hear it my heart flutters. I should go, if you need anything mind link me I’m just going to go to the creek meadow.” “Oh hunny I got this, this is what Lunas do and even though I know your never going to be a Luna Mrs Alpha this event is amazing and definitely something that when these Alphas see you not only accomplish the alpha role amazingly but the role of catering to all they won’t be able to not be impressed by you, strength, beauty, intelligence, and grace that is my daughter.” “Thanks mom see you around dinner time”

I get my bathing suit and cover up packed and go into Shayla’s room she has her suit under her shorts and t-shirt. “Here punkin put your under clothes in the bag so your not getting your clothes wet on your way home.” She does as she is told and then grabs my hand looking up “are we ready to go?” “Just about I want to stop and grab a few things from the kitchen.” As we walk in hand in hand Mrs. Angela hands me a bag I peaked inside and laughed “how did you know?” “Luna informed me, there are two sandwiches some chips and grapes, there is also two water bottles and cookies for dessert.” “Thank you Mrs. Angela” replied Shayla. “You’re most welcome sweetie, have fun with your mom.” We start to walk out the pack house and we see all the big trucks bringing in the rides for the carnival. “Oh mom will you go on the ferris wheel with me.” Of course “want to know what I can’t wait for.. I want some funnel cake.” Yum I want that too mom. We will punkin. As we get to the tree line I take one more look around, change is in the air. Hopefully this is the start of something that will be better for all. I strip quickly and shift into Tundra who immediately comes to Shayla and licks her. Hearing our pups giggle and her pet us feels like we are at peace. Tundra then takes a small nip on her hand causing her to bleed but she immediately licks it to stop the bleeding, it happened so fast that both Shayla and I were caught off guard but next thing I know a start mark appears on Shayla’s hand and Tundra starts to speak to her. “I’m sorry pup for causing you brief pain, I never want to hurt you but in doing this it has allowed me to bond with you and a mom and pup. We can now communicate like this while I’m in this form. Lettie doesn’t know when we will have a chance to run next.” Tundra lays down and Shayla has to use a back paw to help lift her on to my back. Once Shayla is in place I tare off to the boarder, Shayla is having so much fun she doesn’t even realize we are running boarder patrol, but after a while I go to my creek area and I inform her to hold on even tighter and to not be afraid that I’m going to take her a very special spot. We get behind the falls and into my cave when Shayla squeals out “mom this place is beautiful” I shift back and tell her that this place is our secret. No one can know about this place but us.” “She agreed and we spent the time in the hot spring and then ate our lunch. “Mom I have a question, do you think that I will get a dad again?” “Oh hunny, listen to me. I know I don’t have my mate yet and that he may not accept you as his own pup but know this… he and his decision of accepting you will go along way in me deciding if he is good enough for me. But even if he doesn’t accept you it will never change how I feel towards you or the love and bond I have with you. Do you see that star on your hand, look at mine we match. Anything you put your mind to, you will accomplish.!” We stayed relaxing in the cave just a bit longer then she said she wanted to play in the beach area and was hoping that there could be others playing since it was so hot out. I shift again and head out of the cover of the falls, when the wind blows and I hear “I’m on my way principassa (princess) you and my figlia (daughter) you are mine.”
