How very formal I think to myself and just want to laugh at it because honestly I want my pack to be comfortable with me. I know that they need to respect me and somewhat fear me but I still want to be on the approachable side. The gate starts opening and I get out of my head because I can’t wait to see my parents. Pulling up to the pack house is packed with so many emotions good and bad. I hated leaving but I knew my duty and I was extremely grateful that I got to keep my friends with in our training for the last 3 years. I will never forget when dad called me in the office to tell us all we were going to elite warrior training. He thought we would take it as a punishment and in some ways it felt that way over the last 3 years, in the end I knew it was the right decision. The council will think twice in trying to take my position away even though I’m a female. When I take over for my father I will be the first alpha female to be in control of a pack, most alpha females are broken, used as breeders for the alpha males and killed if they do anything wrong. Our alpha King has changed a lot of rules regarding how females are treated but there are still alphas that are stuck in the old ways. It is those alphas that has my father worried about me maybe he wont once he knows about my elemental powers even though I know that it’s his job to worry about me no matter what. I do have some amazing ideas to implement that will also allow more alpha women to be safe but that will start once I am alpha myself.

As we walk into the pack house, my betta grabs onto my arm asking “Do you smell that?” “What smell Brandi? I smell eggs and bacon and toast maybe even some grits and hash browns. Is everything okay?” as I look at her puzzled. “It smells of fresh lemon and citrus. I have never smelled something like this before. It has Grace purring like a damn cat.
