Elena’s POV
Knock.knock.knock.
A sharp knock echoed through the silence, snapping me out of the haze I had deliberately allowed myself to sink into.
“Mr Nicolas?” a voice called through the door. "I have the quarterly reports for you to review. They're urgent."
A jolt of shock shot down my spine, cold and sudden, like ice water rushing through my veins. Frozen in that position, my mind struggled to figure out what to do next. Then the door handle shifted, making my heart leap. The door was about to open.
Trapped in that impossible position, my mind went completely blank. Every rational thought fled, leaving behind nothing but a raw, primal fear of being caught.
The door handle slowly slid downward.
My heart stopped.
For one terrifying second, I was certain the door was about to swing open and expose us. I couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t move. Every thought in my head scattered as I stared at the handle, willing it to stay still.
Then I remembered.
Nicolas had locked the door.
At least, I hoped he had.
The handle moved again.
My blood ran cold.
But, the door didn’t open.
"I'll be there in a moment," he called out, his voice steady despite the chaos in his eyes.
Without wasting another second, he helped me sit up, his strong hands assisting me in getting my trembling body to stand right. He handed me my blouse, His fingers brushed against mine for barely a second, but the briefest touch was enough to send a shiver racing down my spine. I quickly pulled my hand back, my pulse suddenly louder than the silence around us.
He gave me a moment to compose myself. I buttoned my shirt with shaking fingers, tucked my hair behind my ears, adjusted my skirt, and tried to look like I hadn't just been moments away from being thoroughly ravished by my boss.
Then, I went over to the door and opened it.
It was Bella, She stood there with a perfectly neutral expression, a stack of papers tucked neatly in her hands, papers that meant absolutely nothing to me in that moment of sheer panic. She barely spared me a glance, far too professional to question why her colleague looked like she’d just sprinted a marathon.
As I was about to leave, my eyes instinctively spotted my p*nties on the floor, I was rushing so much so desperate to flee, that I completely forgot to wear my underwear. It was on the floor beside his desk, almost obvious in the room because of its bright color.
I tried signaling Nicolas about the situation, widening my eyes and jerking my head slightly toward the floor. He squinted at me, trying desperately to read my frantic expression, but my face was such a chaotic mess of panic and embarrassment that he simply couldn't decode.
Without hesitation, I went over to his desk and acted like I forgot to pick a file, slightly able to use my legs to push my p*nties under his desk where it was less obvious and impossible to find.
They both did not notice the move I pulled. Bella was already rattling off numbers and percentages, and Nicolas was nodding along like a man who had never done anything inappropriate in his entire life.
I left the office as soon as I took the file.
I walked straight to the ladies restroom the moment I stepped out of his office. My heels struck the tiles in a frantic, uneven rhythm, each sharp click echoing behind me like a countdown I couldn’t escape. Only when I pushed the doors of the restroom did I finally breathe a sigh of relief.
I leaned against the cold wall, closed my eyes, and exhaled a long, shuddering breath.
I splashed some water on my face letting it drip down my chin and cool my burning skin I packed my hair into a loose bun. As I was just staring at my reflection in the mirror I couldn’t help but have flashbacks of the moment I spent with Nicolas a while ago.
“Oh my God, he’s so good. I never want to stop tasting him”. I said in my thought.
The thought echoed in my head, sending another wave of heat rushing through my core.
I went back to my office, trying to behave as professionally and perfectly as possible. But my mind was a scattered mess, replaying every touch, every whisper, every stolen moment.
Then, Jacob Lucas came over to my office.
I couldn’t believe it, my heart nearly leaped out of my chest. It felt like a dream, one I never wanted to wake up from. He was right there, standing in my doorway like a vision I had conjured from my most secret fantasies.
He requested to see Mr. Nicolas, and I nodded eagerly, leading him toward his office with a bounce in my step that I simply couldn't suppress.
“Right this way sir “, I said barely containing the excitement that I was certain was popping out all over my face. Excitement popping out on my face.
No bodyguards just him. I finally saw the face I was longing to see in the elevator. He looked more handsome in person.
It was finally closing hours. The day had been filled with so many moments, chaotic, thrilling, confusing that I felt genuinely excited for what the next day would bring.
And then, as I stepped outside into the cool evening air, a sudden car stopped right in front of me.
The backseat window rolled down, and my breath hitched.
It was Nicolas.
He tilted his head in a subtle, commanding way signaling me to enter the car,I hurriedly exited the car, my heart pounding all over again.
Then, he handed me a file and a gift box, his expression unreadable. He told me to open the file first.
Inside, I found a visa and passport, along with a written contract. He explained that we needed to go on a business trip tomorrow because he had an overseas deal that required his physical signature.
He was so composed, so utterly professional. He acted as if nothing had ever happened between us, like my lips hadn't been on his, like his hands hadn't roamed every inch of my body. Clearly, he was the type of man who knew exactly how to separate work life from his personal desires.
Then, he spoke again, his voice low and deliberate. He told me to open the box.
As soon as I opened the box, embarrassment flooded my facial expression. . My cheeks burned, my eyes widened, and my face instantly became red.
It was my p*nties.
Then he smirked.
He found them.
I had totally forgotten about them, I was speechless, my mouth opening and closing like a fish gasping for air. I didn't know what to say, what could I possibly say?
Then he grasped my thighs, his touch made my body so sensitive, so hyperaware, that I could barely form a coherent thought. He started touching me in such a slow, torturous way that arousal bloomed hot and urgent between my legs, and I had to bite my lip to keep from making a sound.
He then put his hands in his pockets and brought out a piece of paper and tucking them in-between my b*easts with a casualness that made my head spin.
I was so concentrated on the overwhelming activities going on that I didn’t realize when the car stopped in front of my home.
I had so many questions, thousands of them swirling violently in my head. But they would have to wait, because he had already signaled for me to leave the car.
The vehicle drove off at full speed, disappearing into the night, and I just stood there on the sidewalk, completely frozen and utterly confused, staring at the taillights as they faded into the distance.
When I got inside I remove the piece of paper he tucked in between my b*east.
Meet me at 1428 Maplewood Drive, Penthouse 3B, tomorrow morning as early as 7am. Nicolas.
I placed the paper on my table, used a mug to hold it down, and headed towards the bathroom pulling off my clothes as I went.
While showering, I tried desperately to settle everything in my head, to make sense of the whirlwind that had become my life in just a single day. But I couldn't. The more I replayed the events, the more tangled and confusing everything became.
So I just forced myself to bed, pulling the covers over my head and willing my racing heart to slow down.
What had just happened?
And more importantly... what exactly were we doing?
