The walk into the forest was ominous, although, I did not expect anything else. We walked carefully, and although the surge of adrenaline rushing through my body kept me alert, I still felt like there was something missing, something was watching us. More than once, I glanced over my shoulders but there was nothing there. No eyes, no strange creatures of any sort. Just darkness, an eerie darkness. Jonathan did not share my plight.
