  The woman suddenly yanked my hair hard, and I hit the floor with a thud. My startled gasp drew everyone's attention in the banquet hall.   She looked around thirty or so, wearing a hotel staff uniform, eyes full of hostility as she glared at me. "Don't think hiding out in City S means I won't find you! You’re the reason my husband’s dead! I won’t let you off easy!"   She grabbed a red wine bottle with the cap off and dumped it straight over my head.   My ankle twisted when I fell, sending a sharp jolt of pain up my leg, and the icy wine soaked my hair and face.
