  A young waiter, maybe just over twenty, stood at the door. The island didn’t have many residents to begin with, and the Ye family didn’t employ that many long-term staff. This guy looked like a college student earning extra cash, probably hired temporarily to help out.   He pushed a food cart and gave me a polite smile. “Hi, here’s your dinner.”   “Dinner?” I frowned, confused. “Weren’t we supposed to eat together in the dining hall?”   He scratched his head and chuckled awkwardly. “The wedding banquet is tomorrow.
