Nix took it about as well as I thought he would. He clung to me, crying that he didnt want to be left behind. He begged me to take him, and it killed me. This kid has become mine as much as his mother has. It felt like someone was cutting my heart out seeing him crying like that. I did get him to settle. He agreed to stay with Drinks but made me promise to call him every day till I was back.
