Under the bright rays of sunlight, a moderate blow of the wind and a refreshing air, I was unwearily running around on bushes of small grasses with a pink kite on my hand.
I was happy and content living near the forest with my family.
The innocent breezy laughs of mine suddenly disappeared when a little female terrified voice called me. "Nana, run!"
I turned my head towards the origin of the voice. It was from the forest where I saw Amila, standing in fear on there. She yelled my name again as I didn't follow what she said.
Her eyes were wide opened. "Nana run. Run. Run." She called again, waving her hand to run over to her.
Later, I heard a loud flapping sound and squealed. As I looked where the sound came from, a red dragon appeared from the sky and swiftly flew towards me.
My eyes widened and my body trembled in anxiousness as I ran.
"Mom. Dad. Mom. Dad. Help!" I screamed as I ran with all my might. But they didn't hear me.
I now bawled in fear as the red dragon never stopped chasing after me. I passed through Amila, who were glued on the ground.
The dragon seemed like me a lot. Because he didn't bother to chase on Amila but me instead.
I was looking back as I entered the forest. I ran and ran around under the big trees and tall grasses, hoping the dragon would get tired and stop catching me.
Unfortunately and unexpectedly, I fell into a very deep mire covered with floating dried leaves.
I was just 11 years old and didn't know how to swim.
I was struggling to come out. Grasping anything from the side, hoping to escape from it. But the more I moved, the more I got stuck and drowned in the mire until I got tired and gradually closed my eyes.
My senses didn't function well anymore. I could barely breath and hear, and vision turned blurry.
Before everything went blank, I felt like someone was hauling me up and as I tried to peek to give a look at him, I only saw a dazzling eyes like sun rays and doubtedly heard him say, "I was sorry!"
