Chapter Seven Iris spread mayonnaise on wholegrain bread, then added a slice of cheese and leftover sliced ham from the fridge, as well as some lettuce. She was very aware of how quiet Brady was as he sat on the stool at the island, just staring at the sandwich fixings on the cutting board.
