I have been calling Elisse non-stop since I left the restaurant but she hasn’t answered. We had plans to meet at the Starbucks near the hotel. I just needed to check if she was still there or had returned to the suite. I met my mom earlier and had breakfast with her. I have been missing in action for the past few months. She’s worried and wanted to see how I was doing. I just had to pacify her and let her know that I was still alive. I told her about Elisse and that we are engaged to be married. She did not react, although I already know what she was thinking. Both her and my dad will not accept me marrying anyone other than Victoria.
