When Elisse woke up, it was already dark outside. She looked at the clock and saw that it was nine o’clock. She saw the bouquet next to her, and she was still clutching the piece of paper with Matt’s hotel name and room number. She felt hunger so she went to the kitchen after the bathroom.
There was no one there and she assumed that everyone was already asleep. She ate the food that her sister most likely set aside for her. There were asparagus on the plate. Despite how many times Elisse has told her sister that she hates them, she keeps adding them as a side dish, since apparently, it’s a good source of fiber.
