But while Kendrick was drinking alone in his office so he could calm down his nerves, in Brad’s bedroom the things were on fire.
“ Let me go!” Sammy says looking around as she sits in the middle of Brad’s apartment, just one floor under the alpha’s apartment.
“I can’t do that, Samantha,” Brad tells her in a soft voice. He is also shocked by his voice, because seeing Sammy so scared his wolf is furious.
She is his mate, and even if he is not comfortable at all with the fact that she is human, he can’t stand to see her sad, crying. And the fact that his own alpha is the one who provoked her tears, is making him even more furious. He can’t fight Kendrick.
