Chapter 5 This is fate!

　　“What the hell was that?” Samy asks as soon as the taxi speeds off, while she has Milo in her arms, caressing his fur.

　　“Well…ignore Brad McKeena” Jane tells her. "There is no point in thinking about his words and his actions towards me, Samy.”

　　Samy just stares at her and if she wouldn’t be her bestie, her sister, her escape from that mafioso family she has she would give a hard beat to Jane.

　　“But he hates you , woman! How the hell to let him go just like that.”

　　Jane knows that being hated by Kendrick and his friends would be a possibility if she returns, but she didn’t think not even for a second that that would happen in the next second she steps in Anacortes.

　　But she got worst in this life so she just takes a deep breath, trying to forget all her fears and looking at the scenery outside the window she says.

　　“I missed this place so much, Samy.”

　　“But..”and Samy just stops.

　　She knows Jane better than anyone.

　　“Well…”she said in the end in a calmer voice. “If That McKeena almost had a stroke seeing you I will take a camera with me tomorrow when we start our new jobs ,because your sweetheart will die for sure.”

　　And she couldn’t be more right.

　　“Then you should bring a priest too” Jane says, laughing sadly.

　　“The jerk won’t die” and Samy thinks that she knows this type of man :rich, with a lot of power, and authoritative. She has her dad, who is acting the same way.

　　“Not for him silly, but for me.” And Jane looks again out of the car’s window.

　　“We are here ladies!” the driver says as he parks the car waiting for his money, but seeing the tiny house Samy’s face fall’s on the floor.

　　“s**t, it's smaller than it looked in photos."

　　“It’s enough for two women and a cat, Samy. Just shut up and help me.” Jane laughs at her, pushing her out of the car.

　　The house is really small even though it has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, but everything is in a small dimension.

　　“Oh my goddess” Samy starts stepping inside the house , "everything is old …” but for Jane this is more than she ever had before she met Samy.

　　“We will make it, girl” and she takes her friend's arms and drags her in their tiny living room.

　　“This is enough.” Jane says looking around at all the things they need to arrange.

　　“ENOUGH?” Samy yells as if she just step on heated coals.

　　“Well…dear friend, freedom has a price. If you don’t like it, we can return to Nashville and start to look for your bride dress.” and in that second Samy’s heart stopped.

　　“Neah. We are staying here” she says and starts to understand that Jane is right. Her father will never think that someone as spoiled as Samy could make it in a place like Anacortes. So Jane must be right. They are safe here.

　　But not far from Anacortes, in Crescent Moon Pack, James and Kendrick are discussing business in the Alpha’s office which is now Kendrick’s.

　　“So?” James says. “how will you solve the problem?”

　　Kendrick walks away from his desk , opening the bar and with an indifferent look he says.

　　“There is nothing to solve , man. The problem is simple and I will find a Luna soon. There must be a suitable woman to help me lead this pack.”

　　“What about Mildred?” James asks him. She was after him for years and since Kendrick started to be closer to her father's pack, Mildred started to act like a f*****g louse. She is everywhere.

　　“She is out of discussion” Kendrick says. “She may be beautiful but she will kill my mood with her attitude and she will never understand that I can ‘t be with her until I finish my business left aside four years ago.”

　　“Just mate with a woman, man. Leave aside the mate bond with Jane Pike. She doesn’t even understand our world. Why are you keeping yourself captive in the past?” James was pissed off because neither he or Brad found their mates, but unlike Kendrick, James and Brad w***e around all day long.

　　“it wouldn't be right” Kendrick simply says , but James continues.

　　“For whom? Did she act right when she dumped you just like that? Mate with a werewolf woman, suitable to be our Luna and that’s it.”

　　They had this discussion so many times that Kendrick is already tired to explain his motives but he is still doing it.

　　“What if I mate with someone else and have a family and one day Jane Pike shows up ? Making me feel strange and ruin my new relationship “

　　But James laughs like a stupid.

　　“She will gnaw on her nails in envy seeing that she has lost a good match.”

　　“She won’t.” And Kendrick is damned serious. “She made it clear that it was all a game, but to be able to have a future I need to end with my past. I need to find that b***h and reject her, even if she is human. And I will beat her until she accepts the rejection.” Kendrick says clenching his fists.

　　“Can I watch it?” James laughs but right at that moment the door opens and Brad comes in with a swollen face.

　　“What the f**k happened to you? Who attacked you?” James asks in horror, seeing all the slaps that are like a f*****g testimony over Brad’s face.

　　“A mad dog” he simply tells him and goes directly to the bar and puts himself a glass of whiskey and drinks it in one gulp.

　　“What happened?” Kendrick asks too, in a more authoritative voice, giving Brad no chance to let it go. He puts himself another glass and looking at the amber color of the liquid inside the glass he says as if it was nothing.

　　“I had a car accident with two human women.”

　　“”Did you kill them?” James asks full of interest.

　　“No,” and staring directly into Kendrick’s eyes, making him understand that there is more, he says.

　　“But I wanted to. I wanted to kill at least one of them so much.”

　　“What’s about the dog?” James asks like a stupid, because sometimes he acts like one.

　　“Well that f*****g Pekingese, was a woman called Samantha Tannenbaum.” And hearing her name Kendrick and James look one at each other.

　　“Joseph’s daughter?” James asks in shock.

　　“The one you should marry?”

　　“The one and only.” Brad tells them and they start to laugh.

　　“She came here to kill you or meet you?” James starts again , laughing so hard that his muscles hurt.

　　“From what I saw, she came here to run away from me. I believe that her father didn’t tell her who she is marrying”

　　“That’s fate, man” James says as if he has the entire winsome in the world. “You saw her that day at her father's office and liked her, and now she came directly into your arms.”

　　“What’s with the slaps?” Kendrick intervenes , changing the topic.

　　“She is responsible for them "and now Brad is pissed off.

　　“She just jumped out of that car and almost cut my balls for destroing her car."

　　“So what? It’s fate man! She will see it too!” James claps his hands. “I can't wait for you to catch her. I can’t believe it. She came to you by herself.”

　　“If that’s fate then explain to me James.” Brad says and looks directly at Kendrick.

　　“Explain to you what?” James asks, perplexed.

　　“If this is fate, how is that Jane Pike was with her too?”
