Chapter Twenty-Three
Matthew told the team and Chris what he was doing and left, it wasn’t long before he was outside of Sam’s apartment building. The cops had left about an hour ago and had wrapped things up, the doorman greeted Matt and apologized for not noticing anything sooner. Matthew told him it wasn’t his fault but that he appreciated the gesture, he went to the elevator and rode up the 10 floors to Sam’s apartment. When he got to her door, he cut through the crime scene tape and entered the apartment. He could hardly recognize where his daughter had been living seeing the pictures and seeing the real thing just made it even more real for him.
