CHAPTER TWO

Azara's POV

I'm sitting at my table trying to perfect a spell i came up with when my brother rushes into the living room.

" Sis i got the hawk feathers that you asked for, however i got followed by a demon, I tried to shake her but it didn't work."

That's when i senced the presence of the soul leech by our cabin. I quietly walked to our window by the front door and sat in the coner. that's when I saw her climb through the window. Just before she could see me i hit her in the head with a frying pan. once I knew she was out cold I took her to the basement and tired her to a chair when a demon trap above her head. For extra measures I made a circle around her with salt and waited for her to awake.

LORRAINE'S POV

I awake and my vision is a little blurry and i don't remember where i was. my vision quickly cleared up and i see i'm tied to a chair and a woman staring at me. That's when I remember I was following a guy and she looks exactly like him.

"What were you doing following my brother you soul stealing leech? If you lie to me it will mean more pain for you. I feel bad for the person who's body you stole. What are you here for this time to steal? All your family has ever done was steal, Azara replied". I could tell this was the twins i was told to find but getting them to work with me would be hard because I didn't know just how much they hated demons. "my name is Lorraine I was following your brother because the elder dragons told me to. I'm not here to steal anything. I'm here to break away from my family and get to live on earth with the rest of seacret kind. this is my body I didn't steal it, I replied calmly.

"I said no lies. demons only say things that they think we want to hear," Azara replied. then she grabbed a bottle of a clear liquid that i was guessing was holy water and she threw it on me . it burned a little bit but it didn't hurt. I could tell she was secretly shocked when I didn't scream out in pain like most demons do. Then again I am half human. she picked up a bible and started speaking in latin i was sure she was trying to send me back to hell but this was my body so once again it did not work.

" What how? How did this not work? I'm the most powerful priestess on Earth I don't make mistakes," Azara shouted.

"I told you the truth. I did not steal this body and i told you my intensions on why I was following your brother. Holy water does not effect me due to me being half human. Yes my father is Asmodeus the demon of war. But my mother was human she died after giving birth so I never got to meet her. I want to break away from my family. Demons are not supposed to have mates or a family. I don't get that because I'm half demon but I want to have my own coven/pack and go after any demon stealing ancient artifacts. The Elders told me that if I can prove to you and a few others that I am able to be a strong leader and I take on my father to retrive the Moonlight orb that they stole from the water dragon elder Narzell then they will grant me my wish to live on Earth like you guys. Now can I please be untied these ropes are hurting my wrists," I asked.

Azara walked over and cut the rope off my wrists and broke the demon trap. As she was walking back I hear a voice in my head. "Now is your chance. Attack her for knocking you out." I didn't want to listen but at the same time it was a little hard to ignore but I managed to.

"Well what's next?" asked Azara.

"The elders told me after I found you and your brother I need to find the rogue Lycans Holly, Jackson, and Jessica. I don't know if they are close together but I'm not sure were they are even located. but i guess we should try to track down Holly since the Elders told me in that order."

"Go down to the market and over to the herbal stall. the owner knows me. ask her for some moon water, fairy dust, a fire fang, and a eye of a bat. give her the phraze, the river runs only in darkness she will know what it means. Azaro will go with you and watch from the shadows," Azara said as she lead me upstairs and out the door.
