Healer Living Quarters

"stay in single file and follow me. do not take forever; we need to be able to make it to the educational section of the city as soon as we possibly can". the female instructor said to us as she guided us down the main hallway that led to a set of fast travel tubes that each had a number on them.

"I hope that this education will be worth it in the end. if this ends up being a total waste of my time I'm going to be truly ticked off about it." Donovan said as he made his way to the end of the hallway.

"my job here is now complete you will each go through tube number three and meet an elderly gentleman on the other side he will guide you to the area where you will be having your education for the next four years as healers of The Taran Collective." the elderly woman said right before I saw her a step into the same fast travel to that she said we were going to go through.

after she went into it Donovan stepped up first, followed by Fredrick, then Nova went, and I went last.

as I stepped into the fast travel to I could feel a small electrical current run through my body and I then began to move at high velocity until I stopped at the other side of it.

when I walked out of the travel tube I noticed that the area that was around me. the buildings of this district of the city seem to be made of much higher grade material than what I had been accustomed to from birth but yet it still was not as high grade as the type of architecture that I noticed in the upper ring before I was taking my Klitron process.

"so the final student has arrived. if you would pleas follow me to the school grounds where you will be staying for the next four years; I can Begin explaining some of the things that you will be doing while under our care." a middle-aged man with red hair said as I made it out of the fast travel tube.

"all of this architecture is definitely impressive a lot more impressive anyway than what I am used to seeing". I said to as I looked around and noticed the different varieties of shops and stores that were located along the main pathway that was in front of me.

"this is our vocational training district of the world. here you will be tested to your absolute limit in both either physical tests as well as possible mental tests. if you do fail to pass your vocational tests by the end of your fourth year you will be cast into the lower ring of society where all of the rejects and criminals live and there will be no returning so you better be serious about every moment that you were here learning what it means to be a healer within The Terran Collective."

"oh come on what he is saying isn't that important for me to listen to. after all all I have to know is how to either heal my allies or to kill my enemies otherwise there's nothing else that I need to learn brute force is always the answer". Donovan said as he began to laugh at what the gentleman said as we were walking through the town.

"with an attitude like that boy you will not insure your graduation from your schooling as a healer. you all need to remember that just because being a healer is one of the rarest types of talents that exist in the Terran Collective that does not mean that you need to be arrogant about what you can do." the gentleman said as he looked at Donovan with disapproval at what he had said.

I walked with the group along the walkway until we had stopped at an electrical gate which deactivated as soon as our tour guide inserted a card to the right of it.

after we all made it into the new area that we had been given access to I noticed that there were a large variety of different buildings which each was made out of different colored tiles which I was assuming also meant something in particular about each of these buildings.

"this statue in front of you is a statue of the legendary saint Jessica. just so you know Jessica was the very first human to discover that we had talents hidden deep within after she had defeated a group of outlaws that were trying to e*****e all female members of the human race that they did not have their way with."

I am served the statue and noticed that it was quite a magnificent sight but then again it was the only statue I had ever seen in my life because of the fact that my original caste was not allowed to trade in such fine materials.

"follow me to the dorm where you will be staying for at as healers. when we make it there I will allow you to enter and wait for one of the graduate students who are on their last year to give you a tour of the inner parts of your dorm." the guide said as we turned right from the statue and walked down the stone pathway until we made it to a dark green building with a massive white letter h on it.

when everyone had made it into the building the guide waited for the last year student to show up before he left us.

as the student showed up and looked at me; i could tell that he seeping in arrogance like he believed that he was better than me which ticked me off because even though he had seniority for both healers and above all I cannot tolerate disrespect or way too much arrogance unless you were able to back it up.

"follow me first year healers. I will show you two the dormitory areas where you will be living for at least the first year of your educational lives". he said to us as he brushed his blonde hair to the side with his left hand before walking the hallway that was on the right side of the building.

"now he is definitely someone that knows what he's doing. can you feel the power that seems to be seeping off of him." Donovan said as he was looking surprised at all of us for not trying to kiss the guy's ass.

"each one of you will be having to make at least two major choices within your first year at this academy. first you will need to choose at least one form of extracurricular activity. the second thing that you will need to choose is it was one type of melee that's been too specialize in because the fact that you are a healer does not make you exempt from combat." he said as he made his way to adore that was at the end of this long hallway.

when I entered the room after he had opened the door I noticed that there was a door on the left and right side of this thin hallway I was assuming that meant this is where we would stay and one side was for girls and one was for boys since the Terran Collective instilled upon us at a young age that we were not to have s****l i*********e of any kind with the opposite gender before marriage in a way to maintain population control.

"you each have your own beds that you will be sleeping on and a desk as well in your rooms that you will use for studying. the dorm also comes with a kitchen, a recreational section, and a library that contains books that you could use to improve your studies or do your own personal research. as you get further in your years the dorms will get more complex and have more things to offer you since you will have earned each one of your years in this school by passing the exam at the end of each year.

now that I am done giving you the rough outline of what you will be living in for the first year here you will need to show up for class tomorrow morning at the dojo so that you may be getting your melee weapon training. that is all you are free to explore and do what you want around your dorm". he told all of us as he left and I made my way into male dorm on the right side of the rear hallway.

when I made it to sleeping area of our dorm Donovan pushed me out of the way and rushed his way to one of the top bunks.

"I've got dibs on this top bunk. and I know that neither of you are strong enough to take it from me but I hope you'll try because then it'll make things more fun for me as I watch you squirm in pain".

I looked around and noticed that there was a pamphlet on one of the tables that was against the only window in the room that was against the left wall.

the pamphlet that I grabbed had on it a list of different extracurricular courses that I could possibly take while I was here in school.

after looking at it for a few minutes I decided that I was going to take an extra class in the art of body manipulation so that I could possibly find a way to use my healing power on myself and push my body to its absolute limit in performance.

"what is that that you're holding?" Frederick ass as he looked over my shoulder.

"oh this this is a pamphlet that shows different types of secondary courses or electives that we are allowed to take while we are here on campus. do you want to see what your options are Frederick?" I asked him as I close the pamphlet and held it out beside me so he could grab it if you wanted to.

"sure let me take a look at it". he said as he grab the pendant for my hand.

I chose to leave the dorm area and look around at the other types of rooms that were available for use during my first year here.

everything that the graduating student had told us was true so I made my way to the kitchen because I heard a female voice that was humming as I approached which drew me in like a moth to the flame I could not resist listening to every note that was coming out of that room.

I leaned against the wall as I entered the kitchen and saw Nova cooking food in her healer outfit. she looked very beautiful like she was just naturally meant to do this and it seemed to make her smile as I saw her cut every carrot and slice up potatoes.

"I did not know that you could sing so well you truly are an amazing woman".

she jumped suddenly and turned around to look at me I was assuming because I probably scared her.

"oh it's you Danny; for a minute I thought that you were Donovan so I got suddenly terrified. by the way thank you very much for helping me with the Donovan problem I hope that he will not continue to try doing things like that to me while we are here on campus." she said that she turned around and then continued to fix the food.

"if you need it I will be there with you along this journey after all we are both dealers so it will be probably taking generally the same courses as students." I said to comfort her.

"you are probably right about that. let us hope that he is not rude about my cooking since I am assuming I will be the main person to cook out of the four of us since I damn the only one out of the four of us that has a history with the culinary arts".

"I would not mind eating anything that you fix. I cannot say that about Frederick or Donovan so only time will tell what they believe about your food. I am going to leave you be and go get some much-needed rest; this day has been more exhausting than I thought it was going to be and if today is any indication of how the next four years will be I am going to have to get my sleep wherever and whenever I can". I said to it Nova as I made my way out of the room I was exhausted from the long day that I had been through.

as soon as I entered the mail dorm area I laid down on the bed that was under Donovan's and quickly passed out without much thought on what I would be waking up to tomorrow morning.
