"everyone pay attention to your surroundings we do not know where the last team is located." Donovan said with a serious tone behind every word as the entire group was walking along the stream where Donovan and I had fought the first group of combatants and defeated them.

while I walked down the stream staying right behind Donovan I noticed that it was quite quiet despite the occasional sounds of birds chirping as I saw a few hummingbirds as well as some doves fly above me.

they only stayed still for a few moments before scattering quickly which meant that there was something stirring them up nearby.

"whatever you do do not make a sound. if they find us at all we will lose the element of surprise which would possibly cause us to fail. I officially swear that I will not die during this process because I am better than the rest of you. I will ensure our survival if it is the last thing that I do." Donovan whispered to us as he crouched down in the bushes nearby when we reached another forced section that was at the end of the creek.

after I crouched down next to him I heard Frederick scream in pain right before I saw blood spew right in front of me through the peripheral vision of my right eye.

I drew my scytches and quickly turned around since I knew I was not alone with my classmates.

"show yourself; I know that you were there. I believe you gave yourself away too early which proves that you are not that effective of a fighter". I said to no one as I had my scythes both pointed towards Frederick's fallen corpse.

then a short female slowly appeared from the top of her head going down after she had deactivated what I was assuming her talent was that she had unlocked after the Klitron process.

"it doesn't matter in the end anyway. after all as a specialist unlike you commoner people who have stumbled upon your talent after completing The Klitron; I am different as a specialist I have been predetermined and designed since birth to be the ultimate weapon for The Terran Collective."

"what makes you better than me?" Donovan asked as he grabbed his great sword and prepared to attack her. "we are healers one of the rarest kinds of talents that exist in the whole galaxy. compared to your normal citizen we are almost like gods".

"gods?! if you truly believe that you are a god for just being randomly selected by mere chance as someone who has a healing talent then that must mean that my kind as a specialist are the god of gods since we were determined at birth and designed to be a much Superior killing machine for the will of the high chancellor. he who makes all decisions for the good of The Terran Collective". she said as she pulled out her assault rifle from her back and aimed it in the direction of my chest.

"you might have caught Frederick by surprise but the rest of us are now aware of you and what you can do; so don't expect the rest of us to fall as easy". Donovan said is he lunged at her in blind fury and rage.

as I watched him close the distance the female specialist blinked out of sight and then reappeared moments later right behind Donovan with the front of her assault rifle barrel dug deep into his back.

"I thought that taryn's only had one talent a piece?" Donovan asked out of shock.

"what was this that you were saying. that you were going to be harder to defeat than that sorry team member of yours. I told you that I am a cut above the rest. the fact that you thought you could take me down it's purely insulting because as a specialist we have two different types of talents at birth that are blocked instead of just one." she said is she quickly shot a burst of rounds into Donovan's back which caused him to die from bleeding.

"full body cellular regeneration!" I yelled out of rage which caused my body to be enveloped in a light green aura as I saw Donovan fall in front of me.

even though I did not like him that much as a person due to his perverted nature he ended up being the best rival that I could have asked for during the four-year time period that we were all learning how to be healers together. he pushed me further and further everyday allowing me to become a better person in order to protect those that are important to me.

"oh it looks like we have someone who has some balls. do you think that your healing talent will be able to keep up with both of my talents".

she shot a few bursts of rounds at me which normally would have killed any person that it came into contact with, but due to my talent being active I was able to regenerate all the damage that it would have done both internally and externally faster than it could damage me so that it would not become fatal.

"I'm sorry to inform you but you are going to have to try harder than that if you want to kill me". I said as I laughed when the bullets left my body and there were no scars on me at all other than the tears within the armor itself.

"what kind of a freak are you?" she asked as she began to back away and dropped her gun out of fear.

"there is nothing that is dramatically unique about me other than the fact that I am a healer. everything that I have done or will do I have earned through hard work and perseverance. those who believe that raw talent is enough to surpass hard work and perseverance are narrow-minded and have to get a true grip of reality". I said to her as I close the distance between us and backed her onto a tree.

I started to swing my scythes in a circular motion as I came into contact with her flesh which caused her to scream as I was severing all of her body parts into tiny little pieces.

"you know Danny I don't know if I find it comforting or somewhat disturbing that you're really good at this". Nova said.

I deactivated my full body cellular regeneration and collapsed onto my knees out of breath right in front of Nova.

"is everything okay Danny? what is wrong?" she asked me as she kneeled down in front of me.

"I just need time to rest because there is one major drawback to my new healing skill. that drawback would be that the more damage I have to heal the more toll it will take on my stamina so I cannot use this skill for very long.

damage that was caused by our specialists assault rifle was quite severe internally so it took a lot of my stamina to recover all of the lost organ tissue and cells at such a fast speed." I said as I made my way to the base of the tree in order to sit down by a tree to catch my breath.

"well I will guard you while you rest so relax Danny. besides if I want to marry you after this is over we both need to do our best to make it out alive". never said is she pulled her staff from her back and the sides of it began to Glow with a blue aura around the ends of it.

I would have to trust her with my life which I did since I planned on marrying her which is a very serious level of loyalty and commitment.

while I began to fall asleep I was thinking about what kind of talents that Nova and I would have to face to finish this exercise; would they be as weak as the group that Donovan and I had defeated at the very beginning or would it be as powerful as the specialist that I had just defeated by revealing my trump card; only time would tell.
