Chapter four.
Theon’s POV.
As I stepped into the classroom, the others welcomed me with warm greetings. My senses were immediately drawn to that distinctive scent once more. My gaze swept across the room, locking onto a pair of striking green eyes that seemed to hold my attention.
“Mate!” Liam's voice echoed in my head, and I gasped in astonishment.
So, this enchanting beauty was the one the moon goddess had chosen to be my partner?
A sly smile crept onto my face as I thought, 'The moon goddess has presented me with the perfect pawn. She appears soft and beautiful; it would be almost too easy to break her without any resistance.
I refocused my attention on the class, teaching with enthusiasm and joy. Every so often, I would glance at her but she would catch me, staring at me with those captivating green eyes, and I couldn't help but think about how delightful it would be to see them sparkle as I broke her.
After concluding the class, I watched her hurry out, and then I turned to a student and asked, “What’s her name?”
“Darcy Hayes,” they replied, and I nodded in gratitude.
‘Darcy, what a lovely name,' I mused, my gaze drifting back to her as I smiled, my hands clasped behind my back.
“Darcy!” I called out, my voice echoing through the room.
She turned to face me, and I declared, “Dracy Hayes, you are now the new class president.”
But deep down, I was publicly claiming her as my pet, and I couldn't wait to break her. It would be exhilarating to see her surrender to me.
I savored the shock on her face and knew that this would be a delightful game. But before she could protest, her friends quickly silenced her, and I watched as they exchanged whispered words.

After a brief moment, she turned back to me and accepted the position. A mischievous grin spread across my face as I anticipated the fun that was to come.
I want to push her so far past her breaking point that she will scream for me to stop, she will cry out for relief, and beg for the sweet release of the mate bond.
Darcy's POV.
I watched as the Lycan King walked away, and I decided to seize the opportunity to talk to him about the mate bond.
“I will be right back,” I said to Lydia, who nodded in understanding.
I ran out of the classroom, determined to catch up to him.
“Sir!” I yelled, unsure of what to call him, but he kept walking. I ran as fast as I could, my legs aching in protest - I was never much of a runner. He kept going, oblivious to my cries, and then he got into his car and drove off.
“Sir!” I yelled one last time, waving my arms wildly, and I could swear our eyes met, but he just ignored me and sped away.
I was paralyzed with fear, my heart racing and my legs trembling. I walked back to class, my feet heavy with reluctance. As I approached the door, I was met with an unsettling silence.
I hesitated, afraid to enter, as I had never been in a position of authority before. My voice had never been heard, and I was unsure of what to do. I ran my hands through my hair, feeling confused and overwhelmed. Just then, Lydia appeared at the front of the class, as if sensing my distress.
"Darcy, are you still worried about accepting Mr. Theon's offer?" she asked, and I realized that his name was Theon - not a bad name, after all.
Before I could respond, she continued, "You don't need to worry about anything; Mr. Theon's offer is great. You'll no longer need to go out of your way to seek acceptance; they'll come to you."
But how could I tell her that was the least of my concerns? I was worried because I couldn't reveal that our teacher was my mate.
"Darcy, are you listening to me?" she asked, snapping her fingers in front of my face, and I nodded, swallowing hard, trying to process my thoughts.
Before I could respond, she pulled me inside the classroom, and the students began to approach me.
“Dracy , what's your room number? I might need your help with something,” one student asked.
“Darcy, do you mind if I share my lunch with you?” another student said. “Darcy, how are you doing?” yet another student asked.
My name was on everyone's lips, and my eyes darted to Lydia, who gave me a 'I told you so look.’

After class, I made my way to Mr. Theon's office, taking a deep breath and silently praying to the moon goddess to grant me the strength to bear the rejection I was about to face.
I had come to discuss the mate bond and accept my fate. I knocked on the door, and his deep voice made me enter. “Come in.”
I pushed the door open and found him sitting with his legs crossed, his gaze sweeping over me from head to toe.
“Good, you came around,” he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction.
“I was about to call you.” I nodded, knowing this was about the mate bond. He gestured to a stack of books and instructed, “ I want you to record their assessments here.” I nodded again, waiting for him to acknowledge the mate bond.
But instead, he stared at me, raising an eyebrow and asking, “What are you waiting for?”
I was confused - why wasn't he acknowledging the mate bond? Or was he pretending not to feel it?
And then it hit me: people often assume they won't feel the mate bond if they're not attracted to the person the moon goddess has chosen for them.
But then again what if the person at the club and my teacher are two different individuals?
