Blackthrones

A new start

It is a gloomy day.. a heavy rain was pouring down since the early morning. Once in a while a thunder can be heard. There was a child  around six years old looking through the window of the second floor of a building . He was there waiting till his turn comes up. Yes he was terrified  but the same time excited too. This is the best chance to escaped the life he is living now.

"Thomas black " he heard his name called.

"Come with me"

a man wearing gray suit called him. This man was around 6ft and had a slim body and he was emitting a dark aura. He was the manager of the orphanage where he lives. Thomas was scared of this man. Not only Thomas but every one in the orphanage scared of this man. Everybody called him Mr. Wolf. Just like his aura his actions were also dark.

Thomas hurriedly went after the man. He was taken through a staircase to the down floor and then stop at a big wooden door. This door looked really old. It was decorated with runes alongside with some diagrams. Mr. Wolf knocked and opened the door.

"Go in"

He said in his raspy voice.

Thomas slowly entered to the room. This room known as the chamber of magic. But often called as choosing room.

choosing rooms were build in early ages of  magic academies  to by a group of powerful 9 wizards  to categorize the mages according to there talent. This nine wizards also known as the guardians of the magic. Normally mages can do all the magic but they have a talent to specialize an one type of magic. if you are hard worker then you can specialize two types. But there are only few who were able to specialize more than two or more. This choosing room can show the mage what his or her talents are and how much powerful they can be.

Inside the room there is a round altar around 4 ft height. Apart from that the whole room has nothing in it. But it was decorated with runes which symbolize the all magic types. There was five wizards at the room waiting for Thomas. They are the one who conduct the choosing process. He knew that one person is Head master of the academy and others he didn't  know. They wear robs that completely cover there face.

"Please come here and Place your hand on the altar"

He heard someone telling him. Even he didn't still manifest any talent he believed that god wasn't too cruel with him. Since he don't know about his parents, no one had a idea about his talent.

He slowly went and place his both arms on the altar. It felt really warm for his hand even the room felt little cold. then a wizard started to chant in unknown language. The whole room started to filled with magic. And then one by one runes start to lit.

It was normal to lit a lot runes at the same time because every mage has the ability to do  normal magic. But the important runes were at the altar. At first anything didn't happen  but after a couple of seconds the runes at the altar start to lit emitting green light. really Dark Green light.

"Nature magic"

Thomas heard someone saying. He then let go the breath he was holding.

"You can go now"

Thomas went out of the room and met Mr. Wolf. He didn't said anything and take him to another room filled with students. Thomas was little afraid of the crowd. So he found a chair in the back corner and sit. After an hour the choosing process came to and end. Then a man around six ft walked in to the room.

"Hello everyone "

"I'm william Thunderwood, the head master of the Thunderwood academy. From now on you will live inside the academy. This academy has 10 faculties. Since you were already selected according to the talents your faculty heads will have the full responsibility of yours. After this they will collect you and take you to the respective dorms and will explain  all the rules. So I wish you best of luck and finally  well come to the thunderwood academy "

After the head master left 10 wizards came wearing different colours robs and start to state theirs faculty names and called the names of their students. Thomas heard that the man wearing green colour rob said faculty of nature and start to called the students names. He heard his name. After that he went after the man with fellow students to his faculty.

They walked along a long corridor with lot of twist and turns and finally came across a beautiful garden. Middle if the garden was a big iron gate. There wasn't anything holding it.  " It's an illusion. " Thomas heard some one saying. They stop in front of the big gate. Head of the faculty turns to their side and looked at all the faces in front of him.

"This is the gate for the faculty of nature. Only the students and teachers can enter through this gate. Outsiders can enter only with a special permission. From today's onward you will be living inside these doors. "

"You can come out side from 7 am to 8 pm and only can stay at the academy premises where common for all students. You can not enter other faculties without permission. If someone catching in another faculty without permission will be punished."

then he stop for a moment and looked at every one again.

" I forgot to introduce my self, my name is Henry Wood head of the faculty of nature magic. There are different department but you can know them later. Your belongings already sent to your rooms. Since you all are still beginners there will be some one responsible for tell about your schedule and he will be give a tour of this place. "

" now if you have any questions you can ask him. I warmly welcome all of you to faculty of nature magic"

After that the gate start to open and they entered. Thomas was little short compere to the other students hence he could only see the back of the students in front of him. But after the entering he saw all the green that covered the area. Big trees beautiful flowers and animals he never saw before also there.

After a long time staring, he closed his eyes and take a huge breath. After all this was a new beginning to his life.....
