Taming Dragons

"Its okay. You pass the test"

Hearing the words Thomas was really shocked. He was expecting a much difficult mission but without doing anything he passed the test. He watched as the guardian came near the dragon and softly muttered few spells. All the injuries in the dragon's body disappeared.

"What do you know about the  dragons ?"

" dragons are an ancient magical beasts, they are very rare, there skin is hard to pierce and they breath fire or ice?"

Thomas did not know about the dragons much because he never encounter one before and also there wasn't lot of information about dragons at the academy. But when he saw this animal he suddenly knew that this is a dragon.

" they are all true. However there's lot of things people don't know about dragons. For example this dragon as its colour he is a black dragon. They are more connected to the black magic. Black dragons breath fire but opposed from others they breath hell fire. And they live in darkest places of the earth. Normal mages cant control them. Only the dark mages can. They are really deadly. Even at first I could not control them."

Thomas was listening to every word the guardian was saying. And he saw the guardian's eyes change. Before they were sparkling but now they held unspoken pain.

" As to this one, he was looking for his master, the guardian of the darkness. He rescued this dragon when he was inside the egg. And he was not the only beast he had. But after the death of the guardian they all disappeared. But suddenly they started to appear again and start to hurt people. That's the mission i was about to give you. To scared off those beasts and rescue the people but apparently you can tame them. And you are the only one that can do at the moment. So of course you pass the test."

At the Guardian end his little speech Thomas was really surprised. He slowly looked at the creature now that curled around his feet and sleeps peacefully.

"From today onward you can stay at the guardian palace as my discipline you can send a servant at the palace to fetch your belongings"

"But..."

"Yes.. is there a problem ?"

"My beasts .... at the academy i cant leave them"

Thomas was really upset about thinking about them. Even they gave him trouble he still love them. He never thought that this day would come where he has to leave his beasts behind him. But the next words guardian said brought   utter delight to Thomas.

"Don't worry , your headmaster already told me about them. Without you there controlling the beasts is really difficult for them. I'll arrange a  place for them so you can still keep them and stay here."

"Thank you guardian "

"Now come with me"

The guardian put his right hand forward and as he did in academy Thomas put his hand on guardian hand and closed his eyes. The next moment he open his eyes only to see a beautiful garden and the middle of it was a majestic castle.
